Good morning, it's raining here, rained all day yesterday and looks set to do the same today.
I went to the butchers yesterday, and also to T*sco, I didn't want much. Our high street would normally be busy on a Saturday morning but it wasn't yesterday.
Nothing much going on today, but I have a few jobs I need to do.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning...All heavy work done now, I escaped mostly unscathed apart from some bruises and a cut or two but nothing serious. All I have to say about taking things apart is beware rounded screws...Nothing much planned for today, take some jars to the deli, take some plants to the swapping lady, and general gardening things. Nex doors kids came like thieves in the night last week putting big blocks of stone on the green bit outside to stop people parking on the grass, no doubt fuelled by me telling him we're having building work done. Doesn't bother me, I was going to plant a tree there to do the same thing, and as it's mostly his kids who do it, win winHope everyone is having a nice weekend. SO, have you had a look at the gardening thread? There's one called Greenfly which is supposed ot be about tasks in the garden but really, it's another chat thread with some tasks thrown in. Or you might like the Awful Weather one...Scarlet, relax, smell the roses
Also my advice for anyone else, enjoy the day...

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A drab day here too - nowt new there then. Not raining (yet) just dismal looking. Matches my mood after a sleepless night.
I was MIA yesterday as I decided on a whim I would have the three bus trip to Harrogate now the Blubberhouses is finally back to normal. No problem getting there but a different story on the way back when the bus from Harrogate was late leaving, which had a knock on effect with the next two buses. I was cold and fed up when I finally got home. And it wasn't a very profitable trip either as I didn't spot much worth buying.
The supermarket sweep with DS is postponed until this afternoon as he is coaching the junior cricketers this morning. I still need to compile my list but I don't think I need much. It's interfering with my tennis watching but can't be helped and I should catch most of it. Then tonight England are bringing football home - we hope!!!
Have a good day folks and enjoy the sun you lucky enough to see it. ((HUGS)) for all in need and take care all xx

Morning all. the sun is shining here - for a change!
We made it down to London yesterday and DH bought his shoes in Oxford Street. We then had a nice wander down towards Marylebone, picking up some geocaches as we went and having a wander in Selfridges Food Hall, where I succumbed to a cherry gelato, and ended up walking back through the edge of Regent's Park. Not an area either of us have visited on foot so it was good to explore.
Today the fine weather is making me wonder about doing some washing. I also have ironing to do and one of us needs to go and buy some green veg to go with dinner, before watching the tennis this afternoon. Unfortunately my pub music session this evening has been cancelled, due to a certain football match.
I hope everyone is keeping well. @Chrisca50 : the Delia Smith ginger biscuits are really easy to make. Gingernuts | Recipes | Delia Online
Or I've just spotted this recipe, which might be worth a try: Grasmere Ginger Shortbreads | Recipes | Delia Online
@TravellingAbuela might like the second one!9 -
WL I don't take much tempting where ginger is involved! .my favourite spice x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6

Morning all
Bright and sunny here after a very wet day yesterday it’s so nice to see the sun 🌞 OH is at the boot sale and DD at work so all peaceful here for now.
Ive just got some flavoured chicken drumsticks and some chorizo sausages out of the freezer to bbq tonight we need to make the most of the good weather.
OH has got to go and take his dad to collect his mums clothes from a local rehabilitation hospital, she was in there after her fall but was moved back to a normal hospital yesterday after feeling very bad again, I’m a bit worried tbh she has been in for about 3-4 weeks already I do hope that she is ok.
Dogs to be walked later and my sister has given us a garden sofa set so hopefully we can pick that up too.
Have good days all and take care xx6 -
The sun is shining down south? Think I'll devote today to packing up ready to move south!
Sorry to hear you had a sleepless night TA, we should form a club, we non sleepers. Pity your day out to Harrogate wasnt as good as you'd hoped, it's nice there.
Hope your dh's mum will be all right Ruby, I know it's worrying sometimes with elderly parents.
Taff, I would smell the roses if we had any, they're my favourite flower, but our North facing garden isn't very kind to them. We've tried to grow them but no good.7
