Nationwide Helping Hand & Mortgage Broker Finder

My sister is thinking about applying for a Nationwide Helping Hand Mortgage, the online calculator shows that she could be loaned more. Does anyone have experience of Helping Hand? Is it best to apply direct or through a Broker?
If she is declined, then I will apply for her for a standard mortgage, but my only income is ESA (Employment and Support Allowance) So I'd need a Broker that can deal with Benefits and mortgages. How do you go about finding a good Mortgage Broker? Is there somewhere (apart from google) that you can find one? Thank you

The nationwide calculator as far as I am aware says that for everyone pretty much.
Im not sure ESA would be enough to get a mortgage or boost how much your sister can obtain on her own, your ESA is there to support you, not your sisters mortgage.
By including you/your income, you are also including your expenditure (rent, bills, food etc).
She shoudl speak to a broker. You can try friends, family, but failing that I think it is just a case of looking online for someone local or good reviews or whatever your priority is when it comes to taking on a broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. @ACG sorry I should have explained more. I will be living in the house too, so it's just deciding whether my sister can get a Helping Hands Mortgage just on her salary (They don't accept benefits for HH) or whether we should find a lender that would consider her full-time wage and my benefits. Thank you for your help1
