Morning folks and thanks GERS. Have a good trip. No weather to speak of this morning, dry and drab. As it's Friday Tidy day I don't suppose it matters what the weather is like.
TAFF what a good memory you have! Fancy you remembering that Thursday was always Pasta Bake day! That's going back to pre Covid when the girls always arrived from their swimming club starving! And as I had some Bolognese in the freezer it was calling for a Pasta Bake last night too.. As always their bowls were scraped clean and telling me it was so good. Eldest DGD had news for me - the dance principal had asked her if she wanted to help teach the little ones for 3 hours every Saturday morning for £15. Great excitement! She is so good with little ones she was happy to say yes. She has her work experience from school next week and that's at the primary school they all went to..
Other than a bit of juggling money around I just have the aforementioned dust and vac up and down to do, then more tennis watching. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. I don't think we have heard from NAN recently so I hope all is as well as it can be for her. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning everyone Gers enjoy your weekend I hope it stays dry we are due showers all weekend but it’s dry for now I’m off to do my volunteering this morning at the food waste we seem to be getting less and less help people come for a couple of weeks and then we never see them again I suppose it’s the same with everything. Nothing much happening here just housework and dog walking.TA your DGD will enjoy the teaching as well as a good experience it’s a bit of pocket money as well one of my GD played the cornet in a band and she gives two girls lessons while she is at college it fits in with what she’s doing she has a busy life with college band music lessons and she’s in the choir. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning all
We're now back from a few days in the Lake District; had 50% dry days and pouring wet days. When it rains up there it really means it and I can now see why so many people were wearing shorts in the rain. It's far easier to dry your legs than a pair of trousers!
DD is bringing DGS2 over later today and they are staying for dinner so I've taken some salmon out of the freezer and might make a coffee cake later. We've brought some Grasmere gingerbread back with us so might share some of that as well. DSiL has tickets for a day at Wimbledon so I hope he gets to see some action.
Hope everyone is keeping well and staying dry9 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x Safe journey and enjoy your time with friends. I loved Penrith when I stayed there as part of my JoGLE hike.
Fairly quiet in the office today as the Ms Moanalot has Fridays off, two others have booked leave and one person is off sick. That just leaves three of us. I am off early in the morning so have already bought chocolates, prosecco and cat crack for my friend. She has a house cat who I’ve never met, so I need to bribe them to like me.
DH is sorting something on DDs car today, will drop off the wedding outfits at the dry cleaners (as we are planning to stick them on Vinted to recoup some of the cost) and will be cooking us sweet chilli chicken for tea – another SW favourite. Keeping him busy!
Great news of the job for your DGD @TravellingAbuela – those Saturday jobs are harder to find nowadays so kudos to her x
@nannywindow if you’re reading along, I hope you’re doing okay and that your DDad’s recovery is going well xx
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Morning all
Dull and overcast here and more rain due this afternoon 🙄 I have a wash about to finish but it will have to go on the airer in the conservatory.
Im sorry I didn’t explain about my mum properly she has been suffering with ascites which is fluid collecting on the tummy for around a year or so she has to go every 2-3 months to get it drained she goes in for the day to have this done, she is usually out about 8 ish but this one took much longer, she is much more comfortable for now until it starts to build again.
Dinner tonight is yet to be decided but DD is working and OH is going to visit his mum in hospital, she had a fall a few weeks ago and has been in ever since while they are trying to get her walking unaided, so it will be something easy I think I may have something like an omelette and OH can cook his when he gets back .
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning! Nope, afternoon! Slept quite late today for a change , mnd you, I didnt go to bed until half two, I did get up once and thought, sod this, going back to bed. I've booked a tip run for next week so todays jobs are take down a fence, and collect the gubbins to go. Didn't do any potting on yesterday, I fell alseep after taking the things to places but did get myself some prosciutto crudo and fior di latte for the weekend. The deli will take some jars as well so I'll put them in a thing for them later on. we had a good chat about parents and how weird they are/were with the saving of everything and having more than one of everything, but it's the generation isn't it? Don't throw anything away and keep everything for Justin. Which is fine if you do actually use stuff but when it starts accumulating tht's another story [ said she with ten pieces of wood with no use whatsover] Oh and I had chats about what's going where when he back is done and I have swung myself a massive bit for the new[ to me will be] greenhouse so I'm happy...Florence, it's bene going on a while now hasn't it considering? TA, not such a good memeory really, I just remember Thursday was pasta bake day
Nanny, hope all is well with you and your dad has learned to walk with a walker! Izzy, that's the way isn't it though? You need a Florence up there, or are you the Florence? It's nice that people do volunteer though for however short, they probably find it hard work though, not used to it...Gers, safe drive, have a lovely time away! Ruby, that's got to be draining [ no pun intended] to keep having to go back and get more and more uncomfortable and to know that's just going to kee happening. Poor thing. Coxy, nail on the head there for cats..just show them the treats
Does everyone call it cat crack?
Have fun all if you can, seize the day and all that!

Afternoon all, dull today, but no rain so far, shhh. Enjoy your weekend Gers.WL ,ooh Grasmere gingerbread, DS1 could have fetched some back, he was in the Lakes last weekend, There always used to be a queue in the little shop.I've had a bus trip to Bury market this morning, picked up a few bits. Was lucky getting the bus back, but missed the one up here so caught the 1 that involves a bit of a walk. I'd just got back when RM delivered a new winter jacket suitable for watching football, it replaces another of the same kind I've had for a few years & when I saw it onlne in the sale I had to go for it- lots of pockets for phone, tickets etc so I don't need a bagPlans for later are a bit up in the air yet, the car is in for a service, but Dh has asked for it to be done by 2, DGS needs picking up & taking to a football coaching session, and dgs is meant to be going paddleboarding with her football team but is umming and aahing as she says the water will be freezing
, I'm sure she's right
TA, that's nice DGD will have a part time job she'll enjoy.Right better go and put some stuff away, take care all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)6 -
