Emmel don't be too concerned about the CCJ possibility - it's hugely unlikely. Make sure that they have the correct correspondence address for you, and then continue as you are, being sure to open any post that arrives. If a letter before action arrives, that is the time to do something more.

yes, if you ever get a letter before action, that is the point where you offer them a monthly amount. it is slim chance  they go for it, but they do / can chase folk that deliberately ignore their requests.

just see how it goes in the meantime , I guess some creditors are more determined than others and if they don't know what your earning and you  have never shown proof of that, then what's stopping them getting a court judgement to force you to show what your earning.

so if you're earning buttons at the moment, tell them that, it will get them off your back , knowing they won't hassle or pursue it further for a long time

CCJs are relevant in England and Wales.

In Scotland, they issue decrees and the process depends on the value of the debt. If you fail to pay the amount agreed under a decree, then diligence can lead to arrestment etc.

    The forms etc are different.

do you mean arrestment of wages

it's been said before on mse, debts owed to creditors is one long game of cat and mouse and you need to know how to play it to your advantage and to suit you not the creditors

They can also use arrestment of bank accounts, although they can't take everything.

What's important is that even if the process is similar, Scottish MSEr's need to look for Initial Writs or a simple procedure notice of claim. So advising them about letters before action risks them not acting to prevent a decree being granted.

Letter from bank demanding payment. ( their words) and saying if I don't pay they COULD  close the account and MAY register a default.
