  • I do it every time I have a stew be it beef, chicken, pork, lamb or sausage its lovely because the flavour from a stew the next day is a lot richer

  • thanks everyone for your quick replies.

i don't actually like beef but i'm sure my other half will love it as a pie, i just have to make sure he stays out the kitchen once its cooked or i'd have nothing left lol!

my sister was clearing out her fridge of things she said she wouldn't use and i couldn't bare to see her throw things away because it had only got a few days left to be used!
i ended up with 2 packs of diced beef, 4 chicken breasts and a pack of minced beef.
2 chicken breasts will become a curry and the other 2 will be used in cassarole for me & little one.
minced beef will be spag bol

i think i did quite well out of what was originally just a coffee lol!

  • quick update, 2 big batches of stew and 2 pies cooling and waiting to go in the freezer.
my other half and little one both had a pie each tonight and they both loved them and complined they were not big enough so it was a good job i'd already hid the other 2 pie's or they'd have ate those aswell lol!

i will definatly be making these again!
