Morning! It takes m so long to to write things sometimes, what with getting distracted and then just sitting thinking, it's never a five minute job posting here
So the gazebo went up yesterday and I had the aches and pains to match last night but we did go out for food which was an abolute bonus. Today is make more room upstairs and start going through the stuff in the garage. It's not raining yet so better make the most of it.
SO, glad you managed to walking thing, it's not so confrontational when you're all doing something. snoozer, enjoy Yorkshire..Allie, same to you in Pembrokeshire...Take care all, have a good day to all on holiday or back, or about to goNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi10 -
Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Taff.Great news about your little one @DP1, she really is a ray of cheerfulness. It was so lovely to have a dry and sunny day yesterday, it's the wind which keeps the jackets on. I visited my friends yesterday, took some calorie-filled cakes with me, and spent a good hour with them chatting, mostly about the SNP but that's not for here. Today started bright though there are some grey clouds hovering around too.As it's Monday I'll be tackling the banking spreadsheet whilst listening to the final hour of my audio book. I've worked through all four of the 'Thursday Monday Club' books. I resisted them for so long as I was sure that they would be not what I liked and then find that the writing is so clever and some characters funny.I hope that everyone has a good day, or even a better one.10

Morning all,it seems a slow start on the daily today but thanks taff. I know there are a few people away so hope a lovely hol is in store. For once it's a lovely day here, not warm though. We are being plagued by midges still, a lot near the ivy on the fence between us and next door, but there is still a nest in there with tweeting little chirrups so we can't trim it yet, and next door have a blackbird on their side. I keep putting repellent on, and some of those wrist bracelets but stll get quite a few bites that seem to itch for days and daysI am going to take my garden shears across the road in a bit, brambles are crossing over the open type fence onto the pavement, not good for dogs or children in prams. Some of the stems are thick and lethal with thornsMy oldest friend sent me a message saying she'll ring today to arrange a time for meeting up tomorrow, she was asking if I'd be free for coffee as she will be in town to visit her DB and SiL. We usually do lunch which we enjoy, but she's pressed for time atm. I haven't seen her for a couple of months so it'll be good to see her- they have a motor home which they make good use of in the spring and summer.Nothing much else happening today apart from school pickup. Hope you all have a good day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9

Morning allJust back from my muddy walk in the park. There are a few benches spread around with plaques on them and I passed one today where someone had left a small bunch of roses on awwwwwwWeather not too bad today but it was awful yesterday with loads of rain and a thunderstorm which wasn't predicted so when a clap of thunder went off it was so loud I nearly jumped out of my chair!Nothing planned today but a wander around the garden with the shears and it would be rude not to join watching the tennis this afternoon wouldn't it?Have a good day to you all x9

Morning folks and thanks TAFF for starting off. I'm a latecomer this morning as I have been waiting for a smallish grocery delivery and didn't want to abandon a post midway through in order to put shopping away. Anyway it's all away now.
It was wall to wall blue sky and sunshine first thing but clouds are now appearing though no rain is forecast. Quite mild too so SNOOZER might have a pleasant first day up here. Sadly rain is due tomorrow.
I really enjoyed the DGDs show yesterday. Nobody put a foot wrong, even the tinies were foot perfect. The first part of the show was a take on fairy tales with the second half devoted to songs and performances from an assortment of musicals. Everyone agreed it was one of the best shows they have put on.
An assortment of jobs were planned for today but I'm now having second thoughts on a few of them. Then of course there will be tennis later. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies. Hope the trippers are having a happy hol and the weather isn't too unkind for them. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all
Its dull and raining here with a chill in the air, I have no people today as they are both poorly so an extra day off for me, I had a call from Robs mum last night to tell me he was poorly and that she had a bit of a fright the night before when Rob went out to look to see if the fair ground was still at the top of the road (he had been doing it all day and coming back in ) but this time he did not come back 😳 he did a runner and she waited till it was nearly dark to call the police, he had got to a local shop where there was a queue of traffic and he was going along trying all the car door handles trying to get in a car 😳😳 thankfully a lady took him in her car and called the police who went and got him and took him home but there will have to be safeguarding and incident reports put in as anything could have happened to him, he didn’t even have any shoes on just a t shirt and trousers, it’s terrifying what could have happened to him.
Onto today I have a wash on the go which will have to go on the airer and I will take the dogs to the park later, dinner today will be sausage egg and chips, we got some delicious eggs from a stall at the place we stayed in Devon so looking forward to them.
I will have a clear round later but house is fairly tidy, dd is feeling very rough so has called in sick for tomorrow she has a day off today.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -

Hello everyone
Late one for me. It has been a lovely sunny day here today and got really warm this afternoon, so I have been sitting outside reading yesterdays' paper since I got home from work.
This morning I went down to tidy up DD's back garden before work. I pulled out a huge pile of weeds, they're still to bag up as I forgot to take bags and couldn't find any. It's looking a lot better but has a few gaps now...she can take me to Homebase one day when they get back from holiday. Hopefully I'll get it tidied before work tomorrow if it isn't raining...we've got an awful forecast for the rest of the week.
Ruby - so glad that lady helped Rob...he was very lucky.
Well I'm going to wash my dishes and go back out in the sunshine while it lasts x7
