We have a thread for 32" lcd's now can anybody recommend a good 37" LCD,
My father has asked me to look for one, he wants it for normal viewing, but would prefer a well known brand.
Any thoughts appreciated.

37" front-line brand names haven't quite got down to the sub-£500 price point yet, except in Clearance outlets and Sales.
Unless you strike lucky, you're really looking at HANNSG, Hanspree, Elonex, Matsui and similar.
A quick Google has brought up this one from LG though:

Richer Sounds have a few good ones under £500 from Hitachi and Philips.
You will find LG, Hitachi and a couple of Sony low-end models if you hunt around.
One point though - unless you ARE going to watch an HD source for yout TV programmes, (such as Sky HD or Virgin Cable and ermmmm... that's about it right now), I wouldn't get a large HD TV. You will be very disappointed with the picture from an SD source.

Keep checking Argos, this tv goes in and out of stock often.
It was out of stock early yesterday but back in stock last night, my daughter managed to order one.
It's a great telly, I've got one :j0 -

Yes, it's only a 32" TV. This thread is about 37" TVs under £500
It's Tesco's own brand and it's about £100 too expensive in my opinion.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
