Morning all
Well England managed to scrape through yet again!
The gales and rain seem to have given us a break at the moment. Hope everything is calm where you are.
Stir fry for dinner and then some Wimbledon and F1 I think. Another sporty day here. Apart from that nothing going on here.
Have a good day all x

Morning Chrisca and all,
Sorry to not being around a couple of days or so, but I was unwell.
it is looking dry and sunny outside at the moment, hopefully it will stay nice today.
Currently, crocheting the start of a new scrap blanket ready for this winter. I found the wool in the bottom of my wardrobe so I thought I would use it up. We don’t have a door to our sitting room so it can be harder to keep warm, so I have multiple blankets/throws on the sofa.
Going to be a quiet day here, will visit the parents in their nursing homes, then come back home and crochet.
Take care all.

Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Chrisca, enjoy the sport.@Peony - it's good that you're feeling better.@SO - I'm so pleased that you found the walk and talk useful and enjoyable.Saturday turned out so lovely, not quite summer, more like late spring. No rain and plenty of blue skies with a nippy wind just to spoil things a little. I drove up for shopping and did lots of little chores too. Today I'm going up to see friends for an hour or so, it's very cloudy so no sitting out. Rain is coming too.I hope that everyone is doing well, getting better or muddling along.8

Morning all.
I was out all day yesterday with one of my Morris sides, on a coach trip around some of the villages north of Northampton. Lunch provided in one of the pubs and a good time was had by all.
Today DH and I are packing for a few days in the Lake District, stopping off in Knaresborough today on the way up. Looking forward to it, as we haven't been for many years, but I think the weather forecast is a bit wet and probably chilly!
Glad you enjoyed the walk and talk Silver Oldie; it sounds a bit more relaxed.
Take care everyone.10 -
Morning folks and thanks CHRISCA. I think our run of avoiding the rain may end today as thundery showers are forecast and the blue sky we had earlier is disappearing. Yesterday was lovely, but it would have been lovelier if the ever present chilly breeze hadn't be present.
DD just texted to see if loud banging had woken me up in the night as Facebook was full of a car exploding and catching fire just down the road from me. Amazingly I had slept through it! That's unusual for me. Obviously all the stressful football watching had worn me out!
Off to watch the DGDs today in the show they have been rehearsing for. Two performances yesterday and another two today. I am going to the afternoon performance so it will be an early lunch for me.. DD says yesterday's two went well. I am awaiting DS letting me know if it's supermarket sweep this morning but if this afternoon I shall have to pass on it. But there is nothing I am stuck for so it's no problem.
Have a lovely day folks and enjoy your holiday ALLIE. ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care one and all xx

Morning all
We are back from Devon got back yesterday lunchtime but we were all shattered from the long drive and we all had afternoon naps which were lovely. We had such a nice break but the weather was not good we had a lot of rain and it was so cold 🥶 we had the heating on in our little chalet, there were only two chalets on the site which was very rural and the other one was empty so we had the place to ourselves until the last day it was so peaceful, we did lots of walking on beaches mostly in the rain but the dogs loved it, we also visited Trago Mills which I was amazed at the size of the place !
Back to reality now I have the first wash on the go and another to go in after, OH was poorly with a cold while away and dd has woken this morning with a really sore throat so it sounds like she has got it coming so we will have an easy day just the dogs to be walked and dinner to cook.
Hope everyone is ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Hi everyone,
Enjoy your break Allie, the family are on their way back from there today. They won't be back till dinner time though.
We enjoyed the barbecue although I got so cold that it took me ages to warm up again. I woke in the night still feeling chilly inside.
I've got a few things to do prepare for going to Yorkshire tomorrow and dinner to make, roast chicken with roasted veg. TA it looks like it will be quite cool up there but hopefully we'll be able to get a couple of walks in and go to see my Aunt
Have a good day.6 -
Afternoon all, had a busy couple of days so just catching up with posts. Yesterday was a bit manic- DGS friendly match 9am, back home for a bit then picked them up to go to his end of season presentation early afternoon, finishing with the England match. It was at a cricket club, so lots of space for the boys to race around outside, though it got really windy. We went home at half time so pooch didn't have too long on her own. Most people stayed on into the evening &were late home though, and some sore heads today. It was a good afternoon though. DGS won a trophy for being parents player of the season so he was thrilled with that.We took it home for safe keeping and took it to DS today, then had a little mooch in his nearest A1di, so the fridge is quite well stocked now, though I had taken a meat pie out of the freezer for tea.DS1 has just arrived back from the stag 'do',he's had a good time.Right better go, DH needs me to pay some sub contractors.Take care all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Afternoon everyone
Lots of holidays going on at the minute - I hope everyone enjoys themselves.
I've been down to sit with dad this morning while my mam went to church. We did his email to DD in Germany this morning and put some more books onto audible, including the story of Tarzan. For some reason he wanted to know how Tarzan actually got in to the jungle so I found him a book...he says he was thinking about it when he woke up this morning! Also sang me a long song he remembered from scout camp- probably about 70 years ago - he was in fine form this morning.
Little one was so happy on Friday as she went to school without her feeding pump, she's just using it at night now. She shouted to me across the yard, 'Granny look no tube...I'm allowed to run again!'
She stayed on Friday night, then most of yesterday so DD could get packed. We spent a lovely day doing crafts and then I took her out on her bike. They're away to Butlins at Skegness today for a week - little one was so excited. I've got crazy little kitten back again.
I have washing to go out but it keeps raining heavily so I'll leave it for a bit, hopefully it might cheer up later. We haven't a very good forecast this week - lots of rain, so I'm hoping it's wrong.
Right, I'd better get on. Hope everyone has a good day x7
