It's such a lovely start to the day, perhaps it'll stay that way.

Good morning folks. Half an hour later and the sunny start is already a memory. More white cloud and less sun, it's the story of this year.My shopping trip yesterday was good, fridge is now stocked, rubbish gone and I even remembered to take away the bag of soft plastics which was overflowing and annoying me. Just past my house I stopped to watch a herd of deer feeding in the open, they looked very warily at me but I wasn't close enough to cause a panicked flight. Not a hundred yards away was a beautiful heron just standing in the road. This too didn't move away so I had to creep forward a little bit hoping that it would take off. Nope! It hopped a little, did another hop, looked at me for a while and hopped a bit more. Eventually it took off, such a wonderful sight, so wasn't injured.I have no idea what today will bring apart from far too much sport on TV. I hope that everyone is doing well and will have an enjoyable weekend.8

Morning folks and thanks GERS. We have escaped the rain over the past few days but, once again, it is forecast. So will it or won't it?!
Yesterday was largely spent in the mode of sloth, alternating between watching the aftermath all the politics, tennis and football - and eating rubbish. Today I must do better! Of course there is football to watch though.
First off I need to pop down into town to pick up a small parcel. Whilst down I will pick up a few more bits I need and maybe a bag of sweeties for football watching.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and those waiting for health results.
Take care all stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6 -
Morning from dull, wet and windy Mehefinland
Took Mrs. M out to the pub/restaurant where we had our wedding reception all those years ago. It's changed a lot since then but it was a pleasant quiet evening, if somewhat expensive. Suppose you would call it a gastropub now. It's in a pretty hamlet nearby with nothing but a church, the pub and a lot of VERY expensive houses!
The church has medieval wall paintings of international importance ( check out Llancarfan church if interested)
Weather is supposed to improve later, which means we may see the Red Arrows on their way to Swansea Airshow. They are currently parked at Cardiff Airport which is about 3 miles away.
have a good day all
hugs and spoons as always

Hi everyone,
Mehefin, congratulations. We're just one ahead, 45 years next month, I put it down to having (deliberately) found a man who was the polar opposite of my dad.
Gers, we have got your rain down here today. We are supposed to be going to a BBQ, an annual event for the members of the golf club who live in our road and the spouses. There are quite a few but we only socialise once a year and I missed last year because I was ill. I hope it's cancelled.
Have a good day

Good afternoon all
Thank you for the start @Gers
Very windy here, thought I'd get the bedding done. Put everything out and the line broke so that didn't go as planned.
Not planning on doing much this afternoon.
Take care

Hello everyone I’m late today went to a farmers market not far from here this morning weather was lovely a bit on the cool side but bright and dry bout hubby some cheese and sausages it was just nice to have a walk around and a bit chat with everyone we haven’t been since last year and I was shocked at how many shops have closed down I had to call and get a new carbon monoxide alarm and a plant fell into my arms so that’s nicely potted up so I’m going to sit down with a cuppa now house is spotless after I went through it like a she devil yesterday it won’t last so other than walking the dog later hopefully before the rain arrives I won’t be doing a lot . SO nice to hear you enjoyed the walking. Mehefin everywhere you go it costs a small fortune to eat I was tempted to maybe have lunch out today but even a sandwich and a cuppa is getting expensive came home and made my own. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing6
