My husband and his business partner own a commercial property as tenants in common. They both want to add their spouses. What forms do we need to fill in and do we have to fill in two sets of forms?

Surely it'll need the involvement of a conveyancer to arrange the necessary paperwork in the correct legal manner? Perhaps it's possible to DIY but not for those needing to ask random and anonymous internet strangers how to do it!0

Will they need a new partnership agreement drawn up?

From day 1 the spouses were supposed to be included in the title deeds. All papers were signed accordingly. Anyway that's a different story. Spoke to HMLR and they said it is quite straight forward when spouses are to be added to the title deeds as there is no money consideration or mortgage involved. Just a few forms to fill in and ID verified. Also help available form Government website guidance notes. Simple! Don't always need a conveyancer.
Asked this question just to see if anyone has done a DIY job.
