Warning about Missing National Insurance Credits

There is a known issue with missing National Insurance credits for people who were migrated from Incapacity benefit to Contribution based ESA. My NI record was missing 10 yrs which has obviously affected my Pension forecast. GOV. UK website says they are awarded automatically but when the mass migration happened in 2013 a lot were missed. I found info on a 7 year old benefits forum post. HMRC stated I had to get in touch with the ESA Jobcentre that dealt with my claim. The first person I spoke to ( after an hour wait) knew nothing about it. I rang again a few days later & after telling the person it was a known issue from the migration from Incapacity Benefit to ESA checked my record & said the credits were indeed missing. He will he mail the ESA Office who deal with my claim to " try" & get my record corrected. BTW I had written to that office over a month ago but up to now no reply.
