Morning Gers thanks for starting. Morning allWoke up to a very wet morning. At least the garden won't need watering!Nothing going on here today apart from housework. I expect that today will be another one of pottering around after I've dropped off a gift to a friend having a tough time. When in my hotel on Sunday I stubbed one of my little toes which is now all black, blue, green and yellow. Not the worst injury suffered by anyone but by god it hurts so I got some ibuprofen gel from the pharmacy yesterday which helped me sleep better last night. Happily, the gel was dispensed free under the pharmacy first scheme. The meeting last night didn't drag on too much but one of the group had a real breakdown after a well intentioned comment went wrong. It was so sad to see the distress caused so easily. After months of hard graft and much praise this one remark knocked the whole thing down. It was such a reminder of how our throw away remarks can affect someone so badly. No shopping needed here. Yesterday I took a Stalker's Pie out of the freezer, need a bit of a winter meal to match the winter weather. I have plenty of veggies in the freezer too which could do with using up.Hugs to all and healing vibes too.7

Morning folks and thanks GERS. There is evidence of overnight rain here but it didn't wake me up so can't have been too heavy. And the promised strong winds haven't arrived yet either. Nor has any warmer weather!!
Hopefully I am meeting DF for lunch after a long postponement. Her DH is on an even keel for now but he succumbed to Covid and kindly passed it on to DF.. She said neither of them have felt so poorly for a long time.
A bit of pottering before I go but nothing too taxing. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies, poorly loved ones or fed up. Hope SCARLET and RUBY are enjoying their breakaways . Take care all stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7 -
Morning
I'm confined to downstairs with the cat today - there's a decorator upstairs slapping emulsion onto the ceiling & walls for me. Cat is very confused!
Gers, sorry to read about your injury - stubbed toes are awfully painful.
TA, hope you have a lovely lunch with your DF
Ruby, enjoy your holiday

Morning everyone
Yesterday was a mix of sunshine, cloud and very heavy showers - luckily not when I was outside!
I picked little one up from school yesterday - she'd managed the whole day with her feeding pump on and had eaten some of her lunch. She came out with a huge smile, but I felt sad for her with her backpack on and the feeding tube going into her dress....it brought it home that she just isn't the same as her friends.
Today she's only there for half a day as her class has swimming this afternoon.
I'm not at work today so I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa and then go for some fresh fruit. Will have a look in Homebase too as I have 2 small planters still empty. After lunch I'll go into town if my prescription is ready.
Hope everyone has a good day x8 -
@DP1 - your little one is a star, she's coping so well with all her difficulties. No, she's not the same as her friends, but her friends aren't the same as her and they are all still friends.@Chrisca - I can imagine the cat confusion.
Cats always make me smile.
@TA - have a great chatty lunch. My morning has already been interesting. I opened my front door to get some fresh air before the rain started, a baby bird flew straight in. They have all been feeding on the insects in the stone walls so I think it just missed its destination. Cue me calling the farmer next door to come and rescue it - he's much taller than me. All was soon sorted and it gave me a chance to vacuum behind the sofa, it's too heavy for me to move it by myself.8 -
Morning..more movings in store today, this time the little dresser with the glasses and stuff. It would probably be better to box it all up but then the back bedroom is groaning under the weight of everything in there already and it still has to fit a table in. Lucky it's just an ikea one that comes apart easily. Going to OHs mums for tea tonight, in light of the weather OH picked good, Toad in the Hole which is his absolute all time favourite. The ribs have been cooked once, just need another hour or two to go really soft and that's tomorrow nights food done. I'm also hoping for a deluge to fill my waterbutts because they are mostly empty now, it didn't take long for them to go, too many pots instead of in the ground and I have an aversion to using tap water
mostly that it costs
Gers, already you have a day chock full of excitement..can't wait to see what's next...still jealous of your capable lumberjacks...TA, hope you enjoy your lunch! nice to see your bff again too. Floss, mine are just very unsettled with all the moving about.I wonder if your cat has a colour preference ?:) dp1, she still has friends despite her problems, so don't be too sad yet...Izzy, you made me laugh with your dogsCoxy, i can't remember if you did but is he OK? Car parts are like rocking horse stuff apparently still...Take care all, don't do too much and have some nice warm soup today!
