in Cutting tax
Hi clever people, please help! I currently work a full-time job that pays £39.5K. I am considering taking an additional job at minimum wage for a few hours a week but don’t want to end up worse off! How do I work out if this might happen please?

Well you wont be "worse off", all earnings in your second job would be taxed at basic rate for another £10k per year or so but you will still have more money doing the job than you would have not doing it.
Unless you are worried about eligibility for a benefit you arent telling us about?0 -

If you start earning above £50,270 (in total from both jobs) then you would have some 40% tax to pay. But only on the amount above £50,270.0 -
