ok i have just had my delivery but the leg of lamb i had was meant to be 1/2 price or such offer . the price i have been charged is full price. the top price on my confirmation email is £8.03 for a 2.4kg leg mine has been delivered as £13.41 for a 2.080 kg which was pouring blood all over the other food they had out in that bag.

i phone customer services gave me £2 refund for service cos of blood said i had to call store for query/ refund on the lamb as offer did not seem to be on. i had original email with confirmed offer price on it. but my local store said no offer is on nothing they can do go back to head office, the manager would not tell girl when the offer was supposed to of ended so i informed her that when you check out if offer not valid for the date it tells you and if you wish to get still it charges normal price not offer price and i have email to prove, said not go back to head office.

where do i stand ??? what can i ask for ?? other than the odd missing item i have never had anything like this to deal with. HELP

  • If it were me I'd ring the 1st customer services and demand to speak to a supervisor - don't settle for a 1st line agent - explain what's happened so far to them (including that you've spoken to the store), and say you can forward a copy of the original email if wanted, and could THEY sort it out as you're fed up!
  • Wow that all worked out better than i hoped i am amazed. So have now spoke to the head office again explained it all and what happened with local store they said we will give you £8 refund for the leg of lamb, she then went on to say that for all the hassle with the blood all over the other items of food and my top and the hassle of the back and forthing from store etc they have sent me 2 x £10 off vouchers for my next online shopping vailid until march.

Plus the £2 from 1st bloke refunded for the blood before i was sent to speak to the local store.

so thats £30 they have given me for the sake of over charging me £6.70p for my lamb.

  • I'm glad it worked out ok for you. I have had similar things happen, where I have ordered an item which is half price, or three for two or whatever, checking that the date the offer expired was ok, and then been charged full price. I have never had a problem getting the money refunded - I normally have to send a copy of my confirmation email to them to show the discounted price.

I now always ALWAYS write down what the offer is, and when it expires on my shopping list, so I can confidently quote it to them if they try and tell me it didn't apply to my delivery date.
