Does anyone use MSE & loquax for comps?

And if so, how do you make sure you don't enter comps from both sites? Do you (like me) have a window open on your loquax tracker & check back & forth between here & there, or is there an easier way of doing it?

As time goes on, I'm [strike]getting more addicted to comps & freebies & need more to fuel my addiction[/strike] enjoying comping & freebie hunting more & more so I need to do it from 2 sites now so I don't miss any. :o And I'd appreciate some tips!!

Thanks in advance. :)

I use both but mse is my main one, I only venture over to loquax about once a week. The only way I can remember what I have entered is by the thanks button and just pure remembering!

I mainly use MSE but every day I check the closing comps on Loquax to make sure there aren't any I've missed - I can't get the hang of the Loquax tracker though so I have to search for every comp on MSE and check the thanks before entering it, which is a bit of a laborious process! Better to be safe than sorry though :D
Wins: Jan-Sept:£1991.27, Nov: "The Rough Guide to the iPhone" book, "FWD this link" book ... £12.98
Win £2008 in 2008 number 60, only £3.75 to go! (it is highly likely I'll win absolutely nothing else now this year! ;))

I use other sites but list them here as I find them too :D
  • I go back to Loquax when I have spare time nad want to do some more comping and have finished everything on here, maybe once a week or so. I find that MSE can take up more spare time than I have, so have no extra time for checking.

If I do go to Loquax I wait for my memory to be triggered by the prize, the competition runner, or the entry page. I am sure I have entered some twice, but I think a fair amount allow multiple entries, some only delete duplicate entries so you don't get penalised and only a small proportion will disqualify you, so understanding that, with using my memory I find it an acceptable risk.

The chance is I might get disqualified for about 10 competitions a week at most, which only took 5-10 to enter, compared to having to do another half hour each day checking....

it all depends what you have more of - spare time and a desire to enter everything you can, or a busier personal life - a judgment call really!

I do sometimes find comps on loquax I haven't seen on here, but also they seem to have more of the my offers type of one to trawl through which just slows down the process. I did use the tracker though and found htat quite handy when I was just using loquax (before MSE). Oh, and the quick entry works for me on Loquax - Jason pointed that out before when I said it took me too long to enter things on Loquax, so now at least if I go there it is only one click.

I kinda use both - MSE is my main site but I use the forums on Loquax for text entry and winners lists!

Am I correct, MSE'ers are the only ones that give the answers as well ~ it would add hours to comping if you have to find them.

I used to find it a bit laborious tracking my comps here too, checking each thread for thanks, so now, each time I enter a comp/freebie from here, I thank the OP, then I subscribe to the thread too, that way, all comps I've entered, & all freebies I've sent for all there in my control panel, it saves a lot of time. :)

Edit to add ... I used to struggle with the loquax tracker too, it took me ages to suss it out, but once I did, it made things a lot easier. :D

Yes, you're right, loquax just list the comps, no answers are given. :)
