we rent a property that is in a band e. However the acres of land that go with this property are not accessible to us, we have a proportion fenced off, but the valuation was done when the huge acres of land were associated with it ? Is it worth challenging or is land not taken into account

That amount of land would not be reflected in the CT band.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

...but that doesn't mean you might still not be in the right band. Assuming your neighbours have similar properties (which might not be the case here since you have acres of land) check their bandings.0

Can you check the entry for your home on the government website? If it has "(C)" following the band letter then (if the land is agricultural) then it has been valued as part of a farm and because of the formula for banding dwellings occupied in connection with non domestic usage, your band is probably too low now the land is no longer occupied with the house. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
