Load Testing on A Replacement Conservatory Roof - Building Control Approval

Hi replaced a glass roof on a conservatory with a lightweight insulated solid roof and the builder was to organise BC approvals - in short this didn't happen.

I have submitted a BC request and following an inspection they want a load test - apparently it simulates a snow fall!!

The roof was replaced 2/3 years ago and is great re heat and usability.  However, I’ve emailed / phoned many structural engineering companies and all have said we don’t do that and to speak to the  BC Officer to get a name.  I asked that question on  the BC inspection and the reply was go back to the contractor, I did that  and there is no response!

I couldn’t be the only person in this position so is there anyone out that was in the same position and who did they use re the load testing / resolve the issue

Regards

Sharvy
