Fixed Term Annuities - options

I am fairly certain that a fixed Term annuity will be the way to go for a portion of my Drawdown fund, to draw a decent size amount for the period between retire/semi retirement and the SP commencing. The remainder of the drawdown pot can then remain invested during the term of the annuity.
I am comfortable that this will be quite straightforward, and I will ask for quotes (via an IFA or whatever) from the main providers for a fixed sum of £xx over x years.
However, is it possible to arrange for a fixed annuity covering a longer term but with £xx amount for x years, followed by £yy amount for a further y years?
Also, what is the most financially efficient route to get an annuity on a non advised basis and what kind of fee would I be looking at?
