Washed, dressed and with first coffee by my side.Yesterday was a good one. Left here fairly early so the road was pretty clear until just over halfway, even then it was moving freely and (more importantly) at the national speed limit. First stop was Waitrose for my JL order then down the CS where I unloaded two bags of stuff for them. It's been in my car for too long. The dental appointments were so good. Xrays showed nothing wrong and then the hygienist did something so fantastic that I will use the word 'amazing' - I don't use it often as everyone else does it for me. Anyway, rather than doing the usual and horrible scale and polish she power-washed them. Apparently it's easier, faster and much better for teeth, especially my three implants, what a revelation it was. My teeth have never felt so clean. Some websites have it as air polishing. I left the surgery feeling so happy rather than grumpy. I came almost straight home, only stopped to zip into the car wash place.Glasgow was warm though dull and just as I left the dark clouds were gathering. Today at home the wind has risen, the clouds don't promise any sun and some warmth is beginning to stream through. I was so hot overnight. No complaints here, after what seems like constant rain since September I'll take it.Whilst I was away both my cleaner and gardener had been. So, car, teeth, house and garden were all gleaming!I'll read back properly later - meanwhile, hugs to all those who need one or simply want one. @SO - did you enjoy the group walk?

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's cloudy and windy here, the sun has disappeared.
I didn't post yesterday, didn't feel too grand after a bad night.
I went to take a friend some shopping she'd wanted, she lives a short bus ride away, but can't go out much. Tbh , I don't like going there, she's so nasty about everything and everybody, I always leave feeling a bit ruffled and diisturbed.
I have pulled back from her a bit because of this, and I know of at least one other friend who has done the same.
I have no commitments today, but have plenty to do, there's always something needing doing isn't there.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. They say the intense heat of the last few days is now at an end. It did get a bit too much at times but I'm not complaining honestly!
Good day out with my buddy yesterday and the delish flatbread with halloumi and salad and the yummy honey and garlic dressing was enjoyed again for lunch - eventually! The slow hit and miss service was in evidence again!
Very little spending done by me (just a card) but buddy treat herself to a floaty scarf and over body bag off the market. It wasn't unduly busy with trippers which surprised us.
A stay home day today and I might make a head start on the Friday Tidy and clean the kitchen and bathroom. I know how to live it up! Then if the sun is still shining later I shall sit outside reading before the rain comes back.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones (old and young) or just fed up. Take care all xx

Morning all
Its a bit overcast here this morning and much cooler although we are promised some sun later but not the intense heat we have had. I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work in the cafe so glad it’s not quite so hot.
Yesterday Rob had some shorts on 😃 with no vest or coat so was more appropriately dressed and he felt better for it and much less perspiration than the day before.
Dinner tonight will be tacos so I must remember to get the mince out this morning, house is fairly tidy and not enough washing for a load.
Im having my hair cut tomorrow I absolutely hate the hairdressers and have not been since before lockdown 😳 but needs must so I will pull my big girl pants up and get on with it.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Hi everyone,
I'm glad it's a bit cooler today, mainly because the family are in a camper van at Glastonbury. I was a bit worried about the car seat situation, we worked it out that it was best if they took the seat we have for Esther (silver cross) which works with a seat belt and Esben's which also worked with a seat belt. They also took a booster seat for Esben in case Esther's didn't fit so that she could use Esben's. In the event they managed to get both the eats in so The booster seat can go back for a refund.
Steve and Chris are playing golf today, it's Chris' birthday tomorrow but he's got an aversion to fuss so we won't be doing anything else.
We had a fridge engineer out yesterday but it can't be fixed so we ordered a new one and a new freezer because they are a non-standard size and now obsolete. We will move this freezer to the utility room as as overflow, which to be honest will be good as the present freezer is always rammed.
I want to re-pot some houseplants now it's cooler, wash bed-linen and read. Enchiladas out of the freezer and salad, we had quiche yesterday but then refilled the freezer with YS duck legs from M&S.
Have a good day.9 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Gers. Thank you for asking, my walking group doesn't start until next week. I know it sounds stupid but I know I'll be anxious and I didn't know exactly where we're supposed to meet so I went and checked it out yesterday. I don't want to give myself a reason not to go.
Still very hot here, so I don't suppose much will get done.
Take care

Morning everyone slightly cooler today Scarlet I have a friend like that she talks about everyone I dread to think what she says about me and she drains the fun out of everything it doesn’t matter what you do or where you are going she can think of something bad to say about it I’ve blocked her on my phone and told her my phone is turned off as I am sick of been disturbed by it but I feel guilty that she has no one although that’s her own fault and I ring her once a week but she can put a downer on everything when I told her I was going to the Norwegian fijords the first thing she said was she knew people who had been and it was the worst holiday they had ever had and on and on it went I really should cut her off completely Gers that sounds interesting I’m at the dentist in a few weeks for a check up I might ask about that it’s a new dental practice we have well we have had them about 5 years we used to have one dentist there’s about six of them in here and they do Botox and all sorts very modern of course no nhs places. Ruby my oldest son used to scream the place down when he was little he hated having his haircut and still does to this day although he doesn’t scream now but it’s one of my favourite things I could sit all day and let them mess on with my hair in fact I could nod off .well I’ve got some washing out it shouldn’t take long to dry I’ve got some housework to do and I need to pop out for some more salad stuff but first I’m off to do a cleaning job. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all, much cooler as predicted, nice while it lasted. We had a good time at our cousins lunch - we chose to sit inside though as they had air con. It was heaving, we got there just in time to place our order before a load of people came in all at once. A lot of reminiscing really after the initial catch -up, sparked by the fact I mentioned about our Grandma's house having been demolished, and a row of new ones in the same place. I got dropped off in time to let pooch out etc, then DH arrived and we went for DGS. It was a bit hot walking uphill along the playing field footpathOn the way home after, DH wanted to get some bbq meat from the butcher so he cooked last night. There was a good surprise waiting, a letter waiting from the courts saying they had thrown the case out against DH - not surprising really with all the evidence supplied by himself & the customer and the new heating engineer that corrected the bad work done.We had to send the rogue a copy of everything so we think he got spooked and didn't pay the fee. What a waste of everyones time though, and stressful !My O order should be here shortly so better clear the worktop. It's got a wooden breadslicer on it that arrived yesterday. I set it up and 2 bits of wood fell off! I got it for slicing my hm loaves. I have an electric one but my fingers struggle to hold the button down constantly, it seems to be a modification that my old one didn't have. Anyway DS got his strong wood glue out and mended it, but I think I need a better bread knife nowMeant to say S-O, I think the walking group is a great idea, well done you .Have a good day all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
The sun is shining here but it's quite windy here and supposed to get windier later today and tomorrow.
I went to Newcastle yesterday, saw my denture man and then had a look in a few shops. I got little one 3 Next dresses in a charity shop for just £2 each, they're lovely. One is a lovely pale blue floral pattern with smocking at the front and a little lace collar and an underskirt, it's so pretty and would have been expensive when new.
I got myself a couple of tops and had a picnic lunch of a Boots meal deal outside in the sunshine.
Little one's medicine came so hopefully it will start working soon. They're back at the dental hospital this morning for her mouth to be checked. Little one hadn't had a good day yesterday and spent a lot of it sleeping.
I have a Tesco shop coming after work, hoping there's nothing missing.
Rosy Red - that's good news
Silver- Oldie - I don't think that's daft at all, I would have done the same x
Right best get on. Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Got to the hospital - had to pay on bus as before 9.30 - we were 40 minutes late going in and then the ultrasound machine wouldn't work so we had to wait while they fetched another one.
