Car breakdown cover renewal through from Crash (Granite Breakdown). Has gone from £30 in 2022 to £80 now! Wow.
Anyone have success with other providers?
Have tried pricing through compareNI and will need to do my research as I don't recognise any of the company names!

Starting to think that a packaged bank account that includes breakdown cover might be the way forward.

Did you have to jump through many hoops?
I have tried on other years and they didn't budge on price.
  • I just called RAC after my renewal price came in at £25, and they reduced it to £16. They also waived my last payment this year after I explained my financial circumstances and said I’d have to move to a cheaper provider. I have been with RAC for 20 years and didn’t really want to leave as their roadside assistance
has always been great when I’ve needed it. Very happy I made the call, definitely worth doing and the customer service was excellent. Hate to think how much money I’ve wasted over the years letting things auto renew.

No, the discount was offered straight away.

  • My Green Flag renewal letter quoted £150. As a new customer online, they would charge £57. I phoned, and got the £57 price. Success!

Anyone tried MIS Breakdown?   They're quoting £25.

Wouldn't budge from the £60 quoted for me.  I ended  up getting breakdown cover in with my insurance for cheaper than both alone.
