Tax refund - make sure you request it!

I completed my tax return back in April for 23/24 and got confirmation (on screen) that I was due a tax refund. I've been sat waiting for this refund to be sent by cheque and hadn't received it. So I logged back on to my Gov Gateway yesterday and after A LOT of searching I eventually found a page where I had to go and request it back. It makes me cross that this was not made clear on the initial tax return screen. I wonder how many other people have not completed this process?
