Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you're all ready for your holiday.
Tiring weekend with the little one but she was a joy as usual, full of questions and nonsense! Her Mummy and Daddy came for her at lunchtime - they got a night away in their tent box. We had a use up the freezer risotto that was very tasty. The freezer is now empty and defrosted - another job off my list.
Grass has been cut but will be a disaster by the time I get back. Ruby - I'm going to Vietnam on Thursday.
Your DD's young man sounds like a polite chap Ruby.
Hope the little one managed to get to her party dp1 - what a star she is.
Last Monday at work for 6 weeks and it's a fun day - the last of my organising of trips, special days, etc so hope it all goes well.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX10 -
Morning morning everyone
Hope everyone enjoyed some sun at the weekend - it was lovely here.I think I managed to work my way through loads of outdoor jobs, at the detriment of any house chores or craft shop work 🤭
Back to postal vote opening today - I think it’ll be busy again with 3 days worth of deliveries to get through. I
however if we finish earlier I’m heading off to Wales 🏴 for a few nights, otherwise I’ll go early tomorrow.AA10 -
Morning folks. Another glorious day of wall to wall sunshine awaits.
I came back from the caravan yesterday, calling for much needed provisions on the way. Each time I stay at the static it reminds me how much easier life would be if I lived in a house without stairs! 3 wash loads of clothing, bedding and towels got done once I had unpacked everything. So I am now all ready for my next visit in another week or two.
I must water all the pots out back today, they all look dried out. But that's a small price to pay for proper summer weather!. But how quickly our weather can change! I started my stay going to bed in my thick fleecy jimjams and bed sox and ended in a flimsy nightie and throwing the duvet back cos I was too warm!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or fed up. Take care all and be safe in the sun. xx

Morning all. Bright and sunny here and yesterday we got the fans down from the loft. At the moment I have the curtains pulled at the back and the windows wide open.
This morning I'm off to DD's as she wants to sort through some saved baby clothes to see what will fit DGS2. It will probably bring lots of oohs and aahs and "do you remember?" and no doubt I'll bring back a bag of clothes to wash before they get worn for the second time around. She's back to work at the end of the month, which has come all too soon.
I'm just a fraction over my BMI so have made some granola from one of the Michael Mosley books and will have that with fruit for breakfast. Ideally I'd like to shift a stone and managed it 2 years ago using the Blood Sugar Diet recipes.
Have a lovely day everyone. My son is in France for a wedding and has taken Factor 70 with him. I didn't know there was such a thing!8 -
Morning everyone I’ve got a load of towels out bedding going out in a minute then I’m meeting my friend for a coffee and a catch up DP1 I hope the little one is alright. Nothing much happening here other than some housework and I’m going to enjoy sitting outside a bit . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.Yesterday I was AWOL as I did a quick dash down to Glasgow and back, really didn't want to but sometimes needs must. I was back by 12.30 by which time I was very hungry as I didn't stop for breakfast. Luckily the wee horse box cafe woman had made extra sausage rolls so I was able to nab one, usually they are all sold out by then. As the canal is now open it's full of yachts and cruisers lots of the crews stop at the lock for refreshments. This morning I've stripped the bed, put on clean sheets and got the washing machine chugging away. I want to get it out on the line before I head to the exercise class. Today is forecasted for lots of cloud with 18 degrees, so far there's only a slight breeze.@Camelot - how exciting!@AA - my postal voting papers only arrived on Saturday, I'm still contemplating them, and the instructions.Welcome back @TA - it's so good that summer came out for you. As for stairs, they are good for you, honestly. I only go up once a day, I have a bag (which Camelot made for me) which I use every day for transporting stuff up and down the stairs. My stairs are very high so it's more of an effort but at least they help keep my knees and quads strong. There's a syndrome called 'bungalow knees' - my late DM had it after years of living in a flat.@DP1 - lovely news about little one recovering and another delightful story about the kitten. It started my day well.Hugs to our poorlies, their loved other halves, children, grandchildren and all others. @Nan - are you OK?10

Morning all
Lovely day here with the sun shining already, I have a wash just about to finish and it can be hung on the line, just Rob coming today as the other lady is sick again which she almost always is she has already said she might not be here next week 🙄 oh well I shall have a nice day with him.
I think we will take the dogs out this morning before it gets too warm and then come back for lunch and maybe do some baking he loves cooking or helping in anyway really.
Dinner tonight will be breakfast for dinner and I still have a few new potatoes left from Saturday so I shall slice them and fry them off to go with dinner.
Camelot how lovely I hope you have a great time how long are you going for ? Xx
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Morning all! Sunny! No appointments today, weekend went well, food was consumed and enjoyed. Next time someone asks me to cook, it'll be a firm no. Peeling, cooking and mashing 15lb pf potatoes has given me a new appreciation for those who do it in catering units by hand...I picked up an old kitchen cabinet yesterday, the kind with a drop down leaf and it's a very scratched and cracked lurid green, so I'll be looking at that today along with a quick dig over out the front now the nigella is setting seed. I've got lots of plants looking for a forever home because they're not just for christmas you know...Not mich sleep again so sofa napping [that vicoious circle] might happen today. Other than that, it's all good.Nan, hope you're coping OK and you're dad is not driving you crazy. Ruby, are you propoer well now? Have a slow day with Rob
camelot, last one? last one ever or just this school year? Have a lovely time in Vietnam! Allie, have a lovely time in Wales. Gers, well done getting an elusive sausage roll...and climbing big steps! Scarlet, glad you had a nice weekend. Izzy, yep, stop and smell the flowers for a bitt
Hope everyone is keeping well or as well as can be, take care today folks!

Morning all, thanks Scarlet. We had a nice visit to our friends yesterday afternoon, sat out in their big garden. They're on the edge of a golf course too, so surrounded by lots of green space. Next doors dog came to visit, there's a little path at one end. I think he spends more time at theirs, and gets on well with their cat
I sat in the shade, I'd only put a colour on my hair on Thursday and it soon gets a brassy tinge with too much sun
When we got back we had chicken breast seasoned & cooked in the air fryer. I cut it into chunks once done as DH wanted his on a baguette, I had salad, sat out at the back. DS was out with his petrol head friends and had a pizza when he got home, then we got a surprise visit from DS2 & DGS.I want to clean the glass back door and side panels today,it's a mess after Dh was cutting the wood for the gate at the back, well that and spidersI think it will be quiche tonight, and I have leftover chicken for lunchHope you all have a good day .:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
