Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers. Well done to your DN, that's an epic ride.
Seem to be a bit of a part timer on here at the moment, work has been so busy I don't know if I'm coming or going! It was the leaver's assembly yesterday so that's another thing off my list. Just the fun day on Monday and then sort out the paperwork for the end of term. We finish on Wednesday at lunchtime then I'm off on my adventure on Thursday morning.
Good luck with the vote counting Allie, to still be voting at aged 100 is quite something!
Glad you enjoyed the show Scarlet.
What a star your little one is dp1, hope she's moved on from the soup now. DD's little one was having her tea when I called the other day and was making a soup sandwich!
Sounds like you're having a good time TA.
Pleased to hear you're feeling better Ruby.
I went to the little one's Nursery Graduation yesterday - they all had on caps and gowns, it was really lovely if not a little emotional! She was pleased to see her Mum and Dad, myself and Granny. She'll be coming here at lunchtime for a sleepover so we will go swimming this afternoon.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX

The sun may be on the way out from behind the clouds, perhaps the rain will stop soon. Yesterday it poured down for most of the day.@Camelot - your holiday has crept up, I had hoped to see you before you jet off, sorry it hasn't happened. This morning a chap is due to come to clear and take away some rubbish from the barn and unused things from the garden. I'm looking forward to that, fingers crossed that he turns up!I'll be back later. Meanwhile, I hope that everyone is doing fine so far.8

Morning all,Disappointing start to the day after a couple of dry days but the rain seems to have stopped now. I didn't realise it was so wet in the long grass over the road when I took L out, my trainers are soakedDGS was dropped off here by his DM & SD in the afternoon, then we took him over to DS2s. He seemed a bit better but his mum said his temp was high during the night. No football so a rest will do him good.DH spent the afternoon making a new gate for between us and next door for the path that runs along the back, just needs painting now. I managed to weed the banking so it looks a lot better. We had the chicken for tea, cooked after we got back from DS, he had mash and greens, I had stuffed flat mushrooms instead of mash. I think we may go over to DB1s later this morning, then hopefully pop in DS2s and see DGD ,we haven't seen her for 2 weeks.Have a good day whatever you're upto.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Its a bit overcast here this morning after rain in the night but we are promised sun later which would be nice, we are having a bbq for dinner and DD’s young man is coming, this will be the first time we have met him so I think he is a bit nervous 😬 but I’m sure it will be fine we are not that bad 😃👀
We need to have a good tidy through and OH can mow the lawn if it’s not too wet and the dogs will need a walk WM is on and the washing can be hung out for a while.
Camelot where are you off to on your holiday ? Have fun xx
Have good days all and take care xx6 -

The garden is now free from the unwanted stuff as is the barn. I'm so happy that it's all gone, the work only took an hour but he'll spend another hour dumping it all at the tip. As he's dumping 'commercial waste' (he's licensed) there's also the fee to pay to the council. It's worth it! Luckily I drew out some money from the bank yesterday, cash is still king with some trades. The rain came and went and is due back again, I was tempted to do a big white wash but will leave it until tomorrow now as the forecast is better.@Rosy - you've been busy and more ahead too.@SO - what a shame about your gardener, it doesn't take long for the weeds to reappear. I hope he shows up next time.@Ruby - oh, what a brave bloke, and yes, I'm sure you won't bite him. Let's hope the weather there stays fine for a BBQ.7

Hello everyone
Mixture of cloud and sunshine here. I've been into town to get my hair cut this morning....it's short but grows really fast so I like to have it done every 6/7 weeks
Town was busy with tourists walking very slowly on the sunny side of the street.
Little one has been back to hospital! She'd deteriorated yesterday and by late afternoon DD was worried and rang 111 who sent an emergency paramedic. She had hardly moved all day, wouldn't try to eat or drink and wasn't speaking. The paramedic said DD could either wait for an ambulance or she was happy for DD to drive her to hospital, which she did as then she'd have the car to get back home. After a long wait they saw a doctor who said she had got an infection from surgery. She's got strong antibiotics and has to be on a continuous glucose feed through her tube until she is eating properly again.
They got back home about 3am. Good news is she's just been on the phone to me and she's full of chat and had eaten a yogurt. She's meant to be at a birthday party tomorrow so hopefully she'll be able to go.
I expect I'll see them at some point this afternoon as I've still got their kitten.
Camelot - was it Vietnam you're going to? My DD loved it there
I'm going to go and see if my washing is dry...I'm going to be good and iron it straight away so I can then sit in the sun with my book. Hope everyone has a good day x

@DP1 - my goodness, what another awful time for your little one and DD, thank goodness that the medics acted promptly! It's just amazing how fast she bounces back each time, a great testament to all the love and care she has.No sun here, no rain either but that wind is still very chilly.6
