Thanks for the start Scarlet
I’m just contemplating getting up (having already made tea, plus moved cars and opened the garage for the builder!).Feeling weary after a marathon postal vote opening session - amazing how some people can’t follow the instructions of putting the right piece of paper in the correct envelope. I did however ‘forgive’ one person when I saw their date of birth was 1/7/1924!!
Today will be catching up and doing the shopping I cba to do when I finished yesterday - lovely and sunny already which is so nice.Happy longest day to all and hugs for the poorlies

Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet.@AA - I feel for you!The day is rather odd, warm with low white cloud base and the ground is wet. We are threatened with showers, probably a day of misty fine rain. I've had a lovely shower then rubbed in the Aveeno oil whilst my skin was still damp and warm, it soaks better that way.Yesterday my biggest achievement was contacting a bloke to clear some rubbish out of my barn and bits from the garden (like my very old dead lawn mower and ten big bags of ancient soil which are wasted). He's coming tomorrow with his muscles and a trailer. It all just needs a bit of heft!My intrepid nephew has done an overnight 100 Solstice bike ride with his club, the very thought of it makes me want to lie down. He's barely recovered from the bike ride to / from Paris the other week. Oh, I long for those days of unlimited energy and properly working hips.@DP1 - great to hear that little one is home and eating (drinking) soup. Her courage is boundless. I'm sending out healing wishes to everyone.12

Morning again, it's fine here, yesterday was as well, could this be summer?
We really enjoyed our visit to the theatre yesterday, it was packed as well. A lovely afternoon out.
I hope your dg d recovers quickly Dp1, she's been through so much.
Not a lot going on today, just the usual stuff.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to the poorly or sad people.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning everyone DP1 great news about the little one I hope the tooth fairy has a better memory than me . Gers I know what you mean I can feel myself getting slower and more annoyed with myself. Scarlet pleased you had a good day out I love the theatre . AA I feel your pain I’ve worked with the public all of my life there’s some treasures out there some of them I could have buried. Off to the food waste soon it’s going to be a warm one but it’s better than been wet . We had the bathroom fitter here last night he has had to put it back a week because he’s been held up with the last couple of jobs he’s been on so it’s next Friday now which is better for us as my son was going to be pushed this weekend doing the plasterwork as he has a run on Saturday afternoon. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning all, thanks Scarlet, hope you enjoyed the show.Lovely here this morning, as was yesterday. I got stuck in to tidying the back garden on the banking yesterday, there were lots of ferns taking over. There is still a bit to do but I need the stepladder to climb past the retaining stone wall, DH and I had to take DGS to school first, as DS2 wanted to get stuck in at work before it got hot. He has just rung to say he's not in school today, he did seem a bit off yesterday but we thought it was hayfever, & I don't suppose Forest school helped. We called in at Mr M on the way back as DH decided he wanted snacky bits for tea before the England match. Chicken was postponed until tonight. DS1 went to a bar in town to watch, it's owned by a friend. He was back much earlier than I expected, but then again the match wasn't great entertainmentGlad you are feeling better RR, and little one is ok too dp1.Well wishes to everyone:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning folks.greetings from my happy place! I could happily stay here all summer if the weather was going to stay like this! But as we know it never does!
I need to water all the pots first job. They are all DD's handiwork and they are all looking dry, first thanks to the wind and now the sun.
Have a nice day all and hugs for the poorlies. Good news about the small person DP1. She's a little trooper. Take care all and enjoy the sunshine at last. Xx

Morning everyone
Beautiful blue skies here and forecast to be sunny all day - might be the day we have the ice lollies I bought a few weeks ago and put in the freezer at nursery.
I need to go down to mam and dads this morning to do his banking and then I've work at lunchtime. I'll go along to see little one after work and then they can give me a lift back up home and collect little kitten, she's currently sprinting round my kitchen.
I have a new Julia Donaldson book for little one - The tooth fairy and the crocodile - and the news that I've got us tickets to see her at the Edinburgh book festival at the end of August....she'll be very excited.
Scarlet - pleased you enjoyed the show. Was it at the Theatre Royal, it's a lovely theatre...we went to see the pantomime there in January.
Better go and get dressed. Hope everyone has a good day x

Wm is on and doing its thing and I may start to do some housework later to get a head start on tomorrow, the bathroom is in need of a good clean.
I have started watching Brigerton I did try a while ago but could not get into it but a friend told me to try again so I did and I must say I am loving it !DP1 well done to little one what a trouper she is xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all.
It's a lovely day here so we are going to drive over to Cambridge as I have an Afternoon Tea voucher from last year that needs spending and Cambridge is the only place close enough to use it as it's for a specific chain. We'll have a mooch around the city as well; always enjoyable.
I do need to make a GP appointment but I'm putting off trying until Monday, as I'm home all day then.
Will read back as I've obviously missed bits of news from others.
Happy Friday everyone.9 -
Morning allLovely day today and the wind seems to have calmed down at last.Well the England game was a let down. Let's see how they get on in the next game, it can't get any worse, or can it?Back from food shopping. Off the the practice nurse later for a blood test and I have to take a urine sample too, that's going to be fun trying to aim for a tiny pot! What a brave little lass your DGD is DP1, she seems to take everything in her stride.Have just finished the final episode of Bridgerton RR, too much s*x and heavy breathing and not enough storyline for the last couple of episodes for me but the previous series, I agree, are really good.Don't forget the sunscreen today.Have a good day allx9
