To buy with a mortgage at 66!

Hi there I'm currently mortgage free ,house on market but to get what I really want im looking at a possible 50k shortfall 
I'm 66 with lots of equity in the house 
Mortgage rate I'm quoted is 6.6% ,age is against me .... any advice please 🙏

    Time to enjoy life with as little debt as possible if any at all.

    When are you likely to retire? Do you have time to repay before then?

    What is your income now and in retirement?

    If you have £35k of DB pension coming in then why not?
  • Do you need the stress of a mortgage at 66
