Filling in my stamp duty refund form help

Last year I bought another property whilst waiting for my house to sell. The new property cost £280000 and I paid £9,900 stamp duty as it was classed as a second home.
I've now sold my first home and want to claim back the stamp duty I paid on the second home I bought. However when filling in the stamp duty refund form it asks how much stamp duty you paid and then how much you are claiming back. So am I claiming back the full £9,900, or do I need to take off £1,500 which would have been the normal amount of stamp duty payable if it had been my only property?

I suspect it will be the difference. This would be better on HBR&S as it isn't mortgage-related and you'll get a greater response there.I am a mortgage broker.
