It's fine here, yesterday was ok as well.

Main event today is going to the theatre in Newcastle with dil's mum, to see a musical about Dolly Parton, should be entertaining.

Morning all

Looks a lovely morning and it will probably continue throughout the day.  Do I jinx it to say I think summer has arrived?

Not alot going on here today.  Dusting and mopping floor downstairs.  Doctor recommended Jojoba oil for my scalp psoriasis so will be trying that out later too.  Book in the garden in the afternoon with a sneaky ice cream cone then an early tea of lasagne and garlic bread and then COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

Quick one from me today, I seem to be going into work earlier each day to get everything done!

What a double delight @Scarlet - I'm sure that you'll have a fabulous time.

Yesterday was rather quiet, I moved between going out and not going out before deciding to not go out. I'm getting very indecisive these days. The wind here is still rather fierce and nasty so being indoors is good.  After the debacle of seven identical letters on Tuesday yesterday brought me a letter and passbook from a different BS with my surname spelt wrong (usually it's my forename which takes the hit) and my address completely mangled. I don't live in a flat! Or in the town they put - I checked my application form and, of course, I had put it all on correctly. A swift phone call to them put it all right but...really!

Today is still on the wind.  Happy Summer Solstice to all, enjoy the daylight if you can. I'm sending healing wishes over the wind to everyone.

Morning everyone

I think I missed yesterday - no idea why 🤔
Anyway, last school invigilation session which was a calm and peaceful A level biology.  Plus a peaceful walk along the river and catch up with a friend in the afternoon.  

Today switches to postal vote opening, hopefully they’ll have received them now after cancelling earlier sessions.  No idea what time we’ll finish as it depends how many have been received.
Meanwhile the builder is still here and making a great job of slabbing an awkward shape with lots of curves!

@AlwaysAllie I haven't received my postal vote yet, never mind sent it off, so you might get cancelled again....

Another quiet day for me today - am meeting 2 retired colleagues for coffee & a catch-up this morning and plan to gently potter in the garden after lunch. I've got most things done now, but there's always nice jobs such as weeding or picking raspberries  & sweet peas!

I think it depends on the council.   Ours were sent out at the end of last week and I have received (and returned) mine so will have at least one to open 😂😂

Morning everyone
Cloudy just now but hopefully we'll get sunshine later - yesterday was lovely. I might have jinxed the weather forecast by buying little one a new paddling pool for my garden.
They left home at 6am this morning to make sue they were at the hospital in plenty of time - little one was first on the list. At 7.45 she messaged to ask me to the phone the ward and explain they were just around the corner from the hospital...a roundabout was closed and it was chaos - they eventually got there at 8.15.
Little one has been on a a sugar feed through her tube all night and will be on a sugar drip while she is in theatre - hopefully she'll be fine.
Little kitten is bouncing around my kitchen, I just have to kick a ball every few minutes.
