Good morning, it's quite a nice morning here.
Florence, it was me that started Friday's thread putting 2025. Sorry about that, it was a slip of the finger!
Yesterday wasn't a particularly good day from a weather point of view, I think today has to deteriorate as well.
Hi Nanny good to hear from you, Hope your Dad will be allright.
Floss sorry to read that you've had a call back, worrying isn't it.
Enjoy your trip Gers.
I know I've missed people, sorry.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, thinking of the poorly, worried and dad people.
Take care folks.

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Scarlett
It is wet and grey here atm. I was hoping to go in the garden, but it's just too wet.
Hope you are all keeping fit and well.10 -
Morning folks - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. I wouldn't bother about the wrong date, it's easy done and I'm grateful that you started it.Today the sky is full of white cloud, who knows which way it'll go. I chanced my arm yesterday morning by hanging out a washing load, rain was forecasted for 'later', which turned out to be after it all dried, thank goodness. I pottered in the garden for a wee while, not productively but enjoyably.I'm not leaving here until about noon as check-in at my hotel isn't until 4.00pm so I can take my time on the drive. Packing for one night is easy and done.10

Thanks Scarlet for the start.Yesterday was a mix of bright sun and torrential rain - today looks marginally better.Lawn needs mowing and strimming if it dries out enough - Hope so cos the patch where the building materials have been is free and will be covered again on Tuesday with the next delivery. Surprisingly the grass underneath has survived quite well. Yesterday’s rain did a good job of washing the mess off the drive too.Think it also needs to be campervan washing and getting rid of tar spots. The water tanks need sterilising too.Floss - hope you can keep distracted until your appt.
Nan - hope you’re both well and DF improves too.Happy Sunday all

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Wet and miserable today, yesterday was ok but I had taken the washing in when there were a few spots of rain and it cheered up after! Anyway washing dried inside and the ironing done whilst I watched the jam do it's thing - my neighbour never uses the rhubarb in her garden so I made rhubarb and ginger jam.
Pleased to hear your DS is making progress Topsy.
Hope your Dad improves in his new surroundings Nanny, it's a lot for you to deal with.
Fingers crossed for a positive result Floss.
Hope you have a good trip Gers.
I enjoyed my swim yesterday so am going again this morning. Shopping was done and I finished a sewing up a cardigan I knitted for the little one, it's been hanging around for ages, I quite enjoy the knitting but hate putting it all together - I actually put one sleeve on inside out and had to undo it!
Hope everyone is well and you have a very peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX10 -

Morning all.
Following an update on my laptop I now have to sign in to the site every single time I use it, which is really annoying and offputting.
Anyway, I was woken up by rain this morning and I'm sure it will return later. DD is bringing the boys over later so we might go to the local museum, as that has plenty to keep them occupied for a couple of hours. I'm making spag bol for us all to eat later and have plenty of soft fruit.
Happy Sunday everyone10 -
Morning all, thanks Scarlet, yes DS1 thankfully is very techie, luckilly my old phone seems to be ok for DH atm. I missed posting yesterday. We had a busy day at a football tournament for Dgs. We got there and DS2 realised he'd left his boots at home, so back he went, about a 40 min drive. We realised that our waterproofs and folding chairs were in the boot so were already cold by the time it started. Luckily he got back as the rain started!Same again this afternoon,in a neighbouring town so not as far. Probably DS2s ideal way to spend Fathers Day
Hope the weather is a bit better though!
I've taken a pork fillet out for tea, so that's quick to cook when we get back, & tiramisu for after. On Friday I made a brioche loaf in the BM. Unfortunately the containers I keep especially for salt and sugar in my breadmaking box were empty- filled them up and put the wrong labelled lids on, so the loaf had 4 spoonfulls of salt and 1 of sugar! It looked very peculiar so tasted a little bit, yuk! Made another which was lovely, and it went down well in the packed lunch/snack box for yesterday.Hugs to our poorlies, and Floss good luck with your appointment.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Dry and bright here which is nice after rain most of the day yesterday we can hopefully have a bbq later, we ended up having an Indian takeaway last night so yesterdays dinner will be todays !
DD is home in the early hours of tomorrow morning I can’t wait to see her I’ve really missed her the dogs will go mad too ! It’s little dogs Birthday today she is 9 but is so sprightly she looks like a 4 year old.
MIL is going well but they think she will be in hospital for about a week as she is unable to walk yet she seems happy enough though and is in the right place.
I have stripped DD’s bed and given it all a wash I also washed the duvet in Vanish powder and it’s come up like new so I will remake it today so it’s all fresh for her.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all, I had a quiet day yesterday but got 2 loads of washing done which dried overnight, I'll put it away today. The sun is out again this morning and it's warmer but we are due showers like yesterday and some of them were really heavy.
Later I'm visiting Dad as I want to take his Father's day card and pressie over but I'm going with DD this time, Mr Fix It can have another day of rest and recharge his batteries.
Have a good day all, hugs to the poorly ones.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9
