A driver had parked my girlfriends car here once or twice of many times, being a local, and hadn't paid the charge. Unintenionally, one can be swept away having a number of children to contend with. A number of letters had arrived and been discarded. A LOC has arrived, dated 6th june.

The car has since been sold. the newbies thread has been read repeatedly, and various similar cases have been perused. Also have very much enjoyed coupon-mads tongue lashings of ppcs.

So i understand at the moment i am to email the *template* set out in the newbies thread, and that's all?

Please accept my apologies in advance, i know you've heard this a million times, i have read the newbies thread, i have read a number of posts. I, and others, it appears, have to lean on you for reassurance/guidance as though it may seem straightforward and obvious to you, it isn't to us. Im not here to get you to do the hard work for me its just a little daunting the further in it goes, i do lose track of what you guys are saying...

To whom was the LOC addressed, that is the person who must deal with it.  If it is a proper letter of claim, i.e. it gives 30 days to deal not 14 (which would make it a debt collector letter) just use the response in the NEWBIE sticky second post.  You won't be e-mailing a temple or any type of religious establishment!  Did you mean template?  There are two templates, the initial one which is an appeal but if you have received LOC, you are beyond the appeal stage.  The other template is the defence template that will be used when/if you receive a N1 claim form from CNBC.

hello, thanks for swift reply..  yes my bad, the temple of dcbl doesn't exist right !!

    it has given 30 days.

the template i am referring to begins...

    Dear Sirs,

    Your Ref.
    Proposed Legal Proceedings
    Claimant: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx Ltd

I refer to your your letter of claim.

I confirm that my address for service for the time being - assuming you don't faff about and delay any claim - is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:

    this is post 2 right?

That is the correct section in the newbies sticky thread, so yes its the correct TEMPLATE for replying to an LoC ( not temple. )

OK so she can still name the driver, if she isn't more robust than the driver at the thought of defending a court claim.

Decide now which of you (keeper or driver) will be better placed to defend a claim and if it's the driver, the keeper names them and gives their address now.
