Good morning folks. It's such a bright start, I'm hopeful about it staying that way.

I'm enjoying a coffee in bed and watching the tide turn. The sky is still bright, it's so lovely to see.Yesterday the miserable weather lasted until later in the evening so I didn't go out, simply pottered around the house. In the late afternoon a friend called round with her mad sprocker. A while later her husband drove up too, we think he needed a gin too! I really enjoyed them being here. It seemed to be a day of people as my SIL phoned from Oz and the my nephew FaceTimed me when he arrived home after his marathon week long cycle ride.I've almost exhausted my salad supplies of salad stuff so some shopping may get done today. I've realised that I'm going away tomorrow for an overnight stay so won't need any shopping, I'll do it on my way back from Northumberland! Numpty-head.There's a few poorlies here so I'm sending huge hug and healing thoughts.8

Morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Damp and dull here. So depressing. However it may brighten, can only hope.
Hope you enjoy your time away TA, it's different surroundings even if the weather is bad.
Glad you're feeling a little bit better WL.
Hope your Mil will be ok Ruby.
Taff, does the heart blokey know how much you pack into a day, he might want to know how you do it!
Snoozer, your dgcs are shooting away, it's amazing how quickly they grow and learn.
Your ds must be a tech wizard Rosy.
I forgot to ring the carpet cleaning man yesterday, I 'll wait til Monday now.I
Yesterday was ok, I went to my friends last night for a good natter.
No particular plans for today, if it fairs up a bit I'll put some washing out
Thoughts to the poorly people, hope you soon feel better.
Take care folks.10 -
Hi all
A bit of early morning problem solving here. All the lights and the downstairs sockets tripped late last night - I immediately thought the worst and have been envisioning emergency electricians etc etc. Anyway DF and I have, by a process of elimination, isolated it to a rogue socket in the conservatory which feeds the (supposedly waterproof) outdoor socket. That can be investigated at some point but at least everything is working again! There’s heavy rain due so I think some hibernation may be necessary this morning. Plenty to do on the jobs list so will see what I fancy after more tea and breakfast.TA have a good break
Nanny - Hope you and Mr Fix It are ok

Morning All
Bright and sunny for now but rain due later - at least I don't have to water anything apart from the greenhouse. Washing is on the line so will need to keep an eye on the weather.
I'm going for a swim, checking the allotment and doing some shopping - I'm having a panic about my holiday so will need to get the last things I need.
It's very quiet here after the rather dismal performance from the Scotland team, perhaps they will improve as they go on!
Hope the Mums are ok Ruby.
Pleased to hear you are feeling a bit better WL.
Well done on the electrical problem Allie, always a good feeling when you can sort something without calling out the expensive people.
How are you doing Nanny?
Enjoy your trip away Gers.
Right, I had better get moving, have a good weekend. Take care. XX9 -
Hi everyone,
It's carnival day here but unfortunately it's likely to rain. Esben has a birthday party to go to but I might wander up with him afterwards if it's dry.
I want to hem the two remaining curtains for Nate's bedroom today and am also planning to make aubergine parmigiana for dinner tonight.
I hope all the poorly people are feeling ok. Enjoy your trip Gers.8 -
Morning, grey but warm-ish here. Supposed to be either sunny or wet depending on the weather forecast 🙄
I'm deploying heavy distraction techniques at the moment - I got a call-back last week from my mammogram, the first one since my BC surgery last year, so am a touch anxious. I'm back on Tuesday for more pictures, so trying to fill my days until then with garden work & decorating.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning all
Well what a wild night that was rain and wind lashing the house and I heard something slip down the roof early this morning I have been out the back and looked but can’t see anything will send OH out the front when he gets back as I’m still in my pyjamas 😃
OH took his dad to see his mum this morning they are on the way back now she seems to be in good spirits but is very badly bruised the OT tried to get her up and walking this morning but she was unable to do it so she will be in for another few days they think.
Rain for the rest of the day today so I shall stay indoors OH said he will take the dogs out for a walk, we were having a. bbq tonight but I don’t think that will happen now so we will have the minty lamb chops new pots and asparagus indoors instead.
Floss hope all goes well xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Hello all I'm still about. This week we have been bouncing between my treatment and visiting Dad. Out of the house at 10 am and returning about 4pm, shattered. We're having a day at home today and chilling but the wm is on as the washing basket is full. No chance of hanging it out as it's sunny but mizzling. Poor Mr Fix It is fatigued too from all the driving between the hospitals but I don't know what I would have done without him.
Dad had a blip last weekend with a UTI and seeing astronauts climbing up his walls but was well enough on Wed to be transferred to another hospital over the valley for rehabilitation physiotherapy, it's going to be a long road as his left leg is very weak and his right hand is all but useless. His OT is lovely and looks about 12 😂 and is working towards getting him back home. I'm not visiting today but DD will go, bless her she's been visiting him most evenings but had a day off yesterday as I don't want her to grind to a halt too. Dad is not the most patient person and he has his own room and facilities but hates the food (3 choices every day), while we have been eating in the restaurant with the same food and enjoy it, I had fish and chips yesterday and himself had chicken and ham pie, mmmm. Dad just has to complain about something.
Sorry I haven't kept up with the news so I hope all are well and I will post when I can.
Floss I hope all is well, it's scary times 🤞
Take care all

Good Afternoon
Went out in sunshine this morning to walk the dog, 10 mins in and got drenched. Got home and the sun came out. It’s now raining again just after I’ve pegged my washing out.
Appear to have a slow puncture in my front tyre on my car. I’m hoping it can be repaired as I’ve only had a new tyre fitted 3 months ago.
Ds2 is making reasonable progress, he’s back to see the consultant on Tuesday. Hopefully at some point he may be able to get rid of the crutches and zimmer frame.
Ruby - hope both your dm & oh dm are improving.
Floss - thinking if you.
TA - enjoy your break.
Nanny - hope your dad behaves himself. Glad you have got a good OT and that he starts to improve. Look after yourself too.
My house move seems to be going ok. I have arranged to have a survey done this next week. I can’t see anything major wrong so fingers crossed.
Have a good day and hugs to anyone that needs/wants one.9 -
Did I read it correctly - was yesterday's old style daily - 2025?
Long time at the hospital yesterday - still no diagnosis.
