Depending on the age of the kids I would tell the school you want the police involved. My child goes to a specialist school where teachers are frequently attacked by some pupils. There has been concussions, broken fingers and more. Sometimes they get the police in.0

School says it's part of the job and they're too young to know it's wrong?????
I'm just lost for words!!!!!!
The OP claims this is what his wife says the school says. As usual with these threads we only have a hardly neutral observer's account.
I would be interested to hear the school's version of the situation before being "lost for words".2 -

As an aside, how does two pairs of glasses amount to £700 - is there something special about them?If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1 -
I'm in the union. Worked in support in education. Unison are interested, this year they have a survey about staff safety
Support staff get the stiff end without the commensurate better wages of career teachers but the pay is irrelevant to workplace safety but the pay can be a motivator and other employments might be less upsetting.3 -
This is exactly why I left being a Pupil Support Worker. Yes I knew that I would be working one on one with primary and nursery pupils with complex emotional issues and that there may be incidents. I could cope with it and once knew pupils could come up with strategies to prevent and desecalate.
However the attitude of the SMT meant I left never to return. It was just not worth it. My advice is for your wife to get another job.1 -
