Nationwide Mortgage process

Evening,
We’ve had our DIP from Nationwide and submitted a full application. A hard credit check was done upon application and a desktop valuation completed the same day which they were happy with.
i just wondered if anyone knew what the next steps are and if it looks likely we will get a mortgage offer as they’ve done a credit check and valuation?
I hate the waiting and not knowing and the worry of having to go through the process again if we are rejected!
thank you

We are with nationwide, the first mortgage we had with them from what I recall was very quick to being approved. It's positive they've done the valuation and credit check. As long as nothing has changed in what you declared at dip phase, it should be pretty quick.

Oh that’s good to hear. No nothing has changed we applied the day after getting the dip. looking online it says up to 18 days but I’m just concerned it will take that long for them to say no and we have to try somewhere else.
  • With our nationwide application we got a decision the day after the valuation.  However, it may be passed to underwriters which could slow the process, depending on various factors (LTV, results of credit check, affordability levels, abnormal property type, etc)

Good luck, but you should be fine

Oh that was really quick, was that recently?
our LTV is around 72% and I know they was happy with the valuation so maybe we will hear something today 😊
  • Hi OP

Have you recieved an offer yet or are you still waiting?

Had my valuation done on Monday. Did get knocked down 20k on that so rather than 57ltv it's 62 now so hopefully won't cause a decline decision.

    Thanks
  • Hi, currently in the same boat. What did your process look like?
