Morning all
Woke up even earlier this morning! Looks like it's not going to be so chilly today but not alot of sunshine.
Meeting up with a friend today. Our DSs went to primary school together and are still friends now and we used to be lunchtime supervisors there. Got together again when she appeared on facebook so we have about 30 odd years of catching up to do lol.
A bit of housework to do before then
Have a good day everyone x

Good morning, it's dull and drizzly here, yesterday was awful, cold and wet. This weather is beyond belief
I've been awake since ridiculous o'clock. I' m not a wonderful sleeper at the best of times but I'm worried about 2 health problems that I need to have further tests for, I'll keep you informed anyway as things progress. Just waiting for appointments. Everything seems worse in the middle of the night.
I would love to go on that cruise Izzy, hope you overcome your fear enough to enjoy it.
Happy new hip SuffolkSue, hope you make a good recovery.
Gers, I've looked at those washing machine sheets, I was thinking of trying them as well.
Hope your gardener can do the fence for you SO.
I'm meeting friends this morning for coffee, then taking dg d to the Metro centre after school. She's 11 now, and going abroad for the first time with her Nana in the summer holidays, so she wants to look at clothes!
I'm tired already after a bad night, heaven knows how I'll get through the day. However, I usually do, strong coffee helps.
Thinking of anyone who is poorly, take care folks.

Thanks for starting today Scarlet
Hope that the coffee and shopping can distract you for a while - middle of the night thoughts are always the worst. Fingers crossed you get some news about appts asap.Off to see the knee consultant with DF today which will probably result in some X-rays and a date for a new knee. Should have time for a longer dog walk this afternoon.Hopefully it’ll be warmer than the last few days - I was nearly at the point of finding a woolly hat yesterday!AA9 -
Morning allWe crossed posted Scarlet, if I can I'll delete mine. Agreed, problems are always magnified in the middle of the night. Hope things are clearer for you soonWoke up even earlier this morning! Looks like it's not going to be so chilly today but not alot of sunshine.Meeting up with a friend today. Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I'm with you on the strong coffee this morning, I was a member of the insomniac club as well last night. Dwelling on stuff I can do nothing about as usual. I hope you get your appointments soon and your worries are unfounded.
DD finally had the steroid injection yesterday for the excruciating pain that started in her neck, shoulders and arm way back in Jan/Feb. The musculo-skeletal specialist referred her for it on the 1st March and she has been surviving on amitriptyline and it's nasty side effects ever since. I hope the injection works wonders.
My DF and family fly back to Oz this lunchtime and endless texts from the WhatsApp group wishing them a safe flight have been coming thick and fast since around 6 am! They have had a wonderful time despite the rubbish weather they have had. I shall miss the daily supply of photos I have been getting.
No bus trip day today but I might take myself off somewhere anyway. Just to decide where.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recovering or fed up as usual. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all
It feels very cold this morning and kind of damp although it’s not raining I went off to bed at 8.30 last night as I was so cold and I put my electric blanket on for a while unheard of in June 😩
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work, we did go to the nature reserve yesterday and had a good walk round just as we got the furthest point away the heavens opened we stayed sheltered under a tree for a while but in the end I said come on we are going to have to go for it so all four of us were doing a kind of walk / run thing and we all got soaked but Rob was screaming with Joy and when I looked round all my lot were laughing and joyful at being out in the rain it was a lovely moment and we had a cuppa to warm us up and then went home a bit soggy but happy 😃
Dinner tonight is yet to be decided I might pick up something today while out I need to do some shopping on the way back I quite fancy a quiche and salad.
Scarlet I hope you get your appointment through soon and it puts your mind at rest xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks Scarlet and Chrisca.I hope your appointments come soon Scarlet and can settle your mind. I'm another who is a poor sleeper and tend to reflect on stuff in the early hours. Our DGD is 12 now & loves a shopping trip with me, though my purse doesn'tGers hope you like the washing sheets. I'm sure the last ones I got (6 packs) just came in a cardboard envelopeI want to cook some mince today, took it out of the freezer yesterday and didn't use it. I might be late back from DGS schools cricket tournament so it'll be handy. DS2 is picking me up around 11.15, then we'll go for DGS and one of his friends and go to the cricket club, it's not that far from school. It does feel a bit warmer & the wind seems to have dropped. My laptop says it's humid
I do know the midges have been awful here, I've got a lot of itchy bites, and last night DS1 came rushing in for the SkinSSoft that is reputed to keep them away, he was messing with his car. The little birds are very active in the back too, free midgy food perhaps!
My fridge is looking better stocked after my order yesterday evening- the cost seems to go up nearly every week though & I went through the order and deleted a few things before I clickedRight off to do a few jobs, the floor needs mopping though I feel it's a waste of time with pooch's big paws fetching mud and leaves in every time she comes in.Hugs to all

Morning everyone
Apologies for my absence - little one and her kitten have filled my time! My niece picked her up this morning and took her to breakfast club so I have the day to myself - well till I pick her up from school at 3. I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa this morning and then go for some shopping. DD flies home tonight and gets back in the early hours so she'll take little one to school tomorrow. She's had a great time and enjoyed the break. Little one has been excellent company and no bother at all, though she had a few tears last night - she's ready to see her mummy now. My cat has become very tolerant of the little kitten and we've enjoyed watching them play together, though it is a hassle keeping doors shut so she can't escape.
I haven't read back yet so I hope everyone's been ok9 -
Morning! Sun is shining, cats have had their breakfast treat, it doesn't seem as cold [ 7 degrees though which I think is still bloody parky for June] and jobs for today involve going through the garage stuff to see if anything can be got rid of in some fashion. Other than that, not a lot, pottering in the garden and potential washing to do. I'll check the forecast after. Had a long chat with friend in Spain on the hpone yesterday, nice to catch up. And I want to go to a meat van tog et some black pudding.Scarlet, hope you find out quickly, the waiting plays all sorts of tricks on your mind. Sue, glad you've had your op. Izzy, well done for jumping straight in the unknown with your cruise! TA, fingers crossed its efects last for your DD! Shame it was over so quickly but you could beat them at their own game and do the same to them? start planning your trip!
Ruby, that sounds lovely, sometimes you just have to get wet to have fun [remember splashing in puddles ? I do now...
] Florence, stop being so hard on yourself, you achieve soemthing every day with your volunteering, clothes sorting, food cooking and serving, being in charge of Mr F, etc. dp1, I expected soemthing like that. It's lovely you have such a good relationship with her. When I think back to my grans, one of them was like the evil stepmother and one was just too old to have much to do with us, even though these days, she wouldn't be classed as old at all, she just acted like it. Rosy, glad you enjoyed sports day and he did too, another one with a great relationship! Nanny, hope you and your dad are doing ok...Take care all, shout to bella...

Good morning folks - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet, I hope that you get some good news about your health, it's awful when it plays on your mind.Well done @Suffolksue on your hip replacement. It's the most amazing operation. You'll soon be fighting fit again.I hope that all goes well for your DF @Allie - a new knee is a major undertaking so my fingers are crossed too.How lovely that you have reconnected with long lost friends @Chrisca, I can well imagine the chatter. What a long wait from your DD @TA - the injection should bring some relief from the pain so I hope that it all goes well. My almost relatives are now in Ireland for a short time before their mammoth coach tour of Europe. I don't think that they actually enjoy Guinness much.Your walk / run the rain @Ruby was so great to read about. Such simple pleasures sometimes pass us by and we forget the wonder of it, though I'm glad that you managed to warm up later.I hope that went smoothly for you @Nan and that your DDad is improving. My nail appointment was good, certainly the nails are growing well under the BIAB so I'm tempted to have it removed completely in a couple of months time. But...I like it too! My trip for shopping was good too as I didn't spend too long on it and really enjoyed the drive. This morning my cleaner is coming and then this afternoon the chimney sweep too. I'll go out when the cleaner comes as I don't like hanging about being idle whilst he's beavering away.I hope that all are doing well.6

Morning all.
I didn't have a restful night - Mr F was behaving strangely last night.
Off to SA today - I normally go round before him but I will insist he comes with me this morning.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
