MSE News: Nationwide and Santander reduce product transfer early lock-in windows

If you're a Nationwide or Santander mortgage borrower you can now only lock in a new rate up to four months ahead of your current deal ending – down from six months. It means you've less time to insure yourself against rates rising before your existing mortgage comes to an end.

  • Interesting I've had a letter this week with an offer to lock in and my fixed rate doesn't end until December. This is with Santander

    Ah i did wonder why i still couldn't see anything in my app with a new rate dispite being within the 6 month period for the last 2 weeks
