ITV PICKS COMPETITION: TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Terms and Conditions
- These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) will apply:
- in conjunction with any specific terms and conditions of any applicable promotion. Where any specific terms and conditions conflict with these Terms and Conditions, the specific terms of the applicable promotion shall apply; and
- to the ITV PICKS Competition entered into, and as defined in Paragraph 4 (The Competition) below.
- You will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and agreed to be bound by them when entering the Competition.
- For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, any reference to “you”, or “entrant(s)” are to persons who have entered the Competition in accordance with the terms set out at Paragraph 5 (How to Enter).
- Please note that Apple Inc. or Alphabet Inc. is in no way linked or associated with this Competition as accessed via the ITV PICKS App (as defined below).
- The Competition may be featured and promoted in ITV football programmes scheduled on the ITV TV channels from time to time (the “Programme”).
2. The Promoter
- For Broadcast Competitions: the Promoter is both ITV Consumer Limited of ITV White City, 201 Wood Lane, London, United Kingdom, W12 7RU and Hestview Limited of 4 Wellington Place, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 4AP (trading as Sky Games) jointly.
- For Non-Broadcast Competitions: (as defined below) the Promoter is Hestview Limited only. ITV is not responsible in any way for the promotion or administration of the Competition, the fulfilment of any prizes, or the processing of any personal data, in each case in relation to Non-Broadcast Competitions. (together (as applicable), the “Promoter”).
3. Eligibility
- The Competition is open to persons aged 18 or over and resident in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, except for:
- employees of the Promoter and/or each of their associated companies;
- employees of agents and/or suppliers of the Promoter and/or its associated companies who are professionally connected with the Competition and/or its administration; or
- members of the immediate families or households of those specified in Paragraphs 3.1.1 or 3.1.2 above.
- The Promoter may require entrants verify that they meet the criteria in Paragraph 3 to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter.
- Where an entrant does not meet the criteria detailed within these Terms and Conditions their entry will not be valid and they will not be eligible to receive a prize.
4. The Competition
- The Competition is a free-to-enter competition related to football which will be available to enter between the 10th of June 2024 and the 16th of July 2024 at the time(s) as advertised on the Entry Points (as defined in Paragraph 5.1 below) and in the Programme (in respect of the Broadcast Competitions only). The Competition consists of rounds where a jackpot can be won by an entrant correctly picking the outcomes of a set of questions based on specific matches. The Competition relating to each match within ITV Picks represents its own individual Round (a “Round”). There will be a maximum of seven (7) questions per Round.
- Each Round of the Competition consists of (i) either a match which ITV is showing live on its UK broadcast channels (each such Round being a “Broadcast Competition”); or (ii) solely matches which ITV is not showing live on its UK broadcast channels (each such Round being a “Non-Broadcast Competition”).
- If an entrant answers the seven (7) questions correctly, they will win the Jackpot (as defined in Paragraph 7.1) for that specific Round (the “Jackpot Winner”). Where multiple entrants correctly answer the seven (7) questions in the Round, the winners (as may be the case) will split the Jackpot (as defined in Paragraph 7.1) equally (together, the “Jackpot Winners”).
- If the Jackpot is not won and an entrant answers the first six (6) out of seven (7) questions correctly, they will win the Consolation Prize (as defined in Paragraph 7.2) for that specific Round. Where there is no Jackpot winner and multiple entrants correctly answer the first six (6) out of seven (7) questions in the Round, the winners (as may be the case) of the Consolation Prize will be selected through a tie breaker, as set out in Paragraph 6 below. For the avoidance of doubt, the seventh question will be the ‘Jackpot Question’ as set out in Paragraph 5.5.2 below.
- Please note that the entrant’s selection for question one (i.e. What will the full-time score be?) will impact the following questions the entrant will receive due to applicability of questions (e.g. “Which player will score the first goal?” becomes obsolete if the entrant selects “0-0”).
5. How to Enter
- The Competition will be available for participants to enter via the ITV Picks mobile app (“ITV Picks App”), and the ITV Picks website promoted as itv.com/picks redirecting to https://picks.itv.com (collectively, the “Entry Points”).
- The opening and/or closing times (as applicable) for each Round will be displayed clearly: (i) on each of the Entry Points; and/or (ii) in the Programme (for Broadcast Competitions only).
- The Round closing time will always align with the kick off time of the specific football match (the “Kick Off”). In the event of the scheduled Kick Off time being delayed, the Round closing time will not change and will remain the original scheduled Kick Off time.
- Entry to the Competition is free. Data charges may apply (check with your internet service provider or mobile network).
- In order to enter a Round of the Competition, you must:
- log-in to one of the Entry Points using a Sky Games user account (including ITV Picks, ITV7 and Super 6 accounts) or any existing Sky Bet user account (“Account”). For the avoidance of doubt, entrants can enter the Competition without creating a Sky Bet user account;
- select one outcome from each of the seven (7) questions provided by the Promoter for the applicable Round (the “Picks”). The final question called the ‘Jackpot Question’ will also be used as a tie breaker (the “Tie Breaker”) in certain circumstances. Details on the Tie Breaker can be found in paragraph 6.3-6.6 below.
- Entrants are able to edit their Picks and Tie Breaker answer until the closing time of the Round (as specified on the Entry Points). Once the Round has closed, entrants cannot change their Picks and Tie Breaker answer for that Round.
- Only one (1) Account is permitted to be registered per entrant. Only one (1) entry per Round is permitted per entrant. If the Promoter believes that any one (1) person has made or may have made more than one entry to any Round of the Competition then the Promoter may disqualify all entries that the Promoter believes have been made by that person.
- By registering for an Account, you authorise the Promoter to conduct any identification, credit or other verification checks that it may require (either for its own purposes or as required by applicable law or a regulatory body), including (but not limited to) checking any or all of the details you provide when registering or changing your Account details. In particular, the Promoter may verify that you are 18 (eighteen) years of age or older and that you are resident in the country in which you say you are resident. If the Promoter discovers that you are under 18 years of age following verification checks or that you have not met any other verification criteria, your Account shall be closed, and all entries will be disqualified from participating in the Competition and/or receiving any Prizes (as defined below).
- The Promoter may supply the information that you have provided to authorised credit reference agencies, who may check such information against any databases (public or private) to which they have access and may keep a record of that check. The checks will be for the purposes of confirming your identification and for fraud detection and prevention. For more information about how the Promoter will process your information, please see the Privacy and Cookie Policy at https://picks.itv.com/privacy.
- If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to believe that multiple Accounts have been opened by, or are under the control of the same person, all such Accounts shall be closed and all entries by such person and/or Accounts held by such person will be disqualified from participating in the Competition and/or receiving any Prizes (as defined below). The Promoter may, at its discretion, base its decision on the entrant’s email address, name, IP address or any other information, data, variables or factors.
- The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry.
- Under no circumstances are you permitted to submit your entry via email. Any entries submitted by email will be automatically disqualified.
6. How does the Competition work?
Selection:
- Prior to the Kick Off time of the football match featured in each Round, entrants must ensure that they have selected their Picks (including the Tie Breaker) and submitted an answer to all seven (7) questions.
- If any Pick corresponds to a player who does not make an appearance in the football match either as a starting player or a substitute, this Pick will be settled as an incorrect answer.
- As stated in Paragraph 5.5.2, the seventh question (also the ‘Jackpot Question’) is also used as the Tie-Breaker when the Jackpot is not won and multiple entrants correctly answer the first six (6) out of seven (7) questions. The Jackpot Question for any given Round will be determined by the answer selected in question one (1) (i.e What will the full-time score be?) and will be either: (i) “Which minute will the first goal be scored in?” if the entrant does not select the full-time score of “0-0” in question one ; or (ii) or “Which minute will the first card be shown in?” if the entrant selects “0-0” for question one.
- The Tie Breaker will come into effect under the following circumstance:
- Where in a Round there is no Jackpot Winner but two (2) or more entrants correctly answer the first six (6) questions (excluding the Jackpot Question), the entrant closest to the correct response to the Jackpot Question (i.e. the minute of first goal scored or minute of first card in the given Round (as applicable)) will win the Consolation Prize. When judging the closest minute, the distance higher and lower than the actual winning minute will be considered equally.
- Should more than one (1) entrant select the closest correct answer in a Round where the Tie Breaker has come into effect (the “Tie Breaker Tied Entrants”), the Consolation Prize will be split and shared equally between the Tie Breaker Tied Entrants.
7. Prizes
- For each Round there will be one prize publicised by the Promoter on the Entry Points as being the Jackpot or main prize (the “Jackpot”) for that Round. The Promoter reserves the right to change, withdraw or increase the availability and/or the value of the prizes at its reasonable discretion. The Jackpot and Consolation Prize amounts are at the discretion of the promoter and can change Round to Round and can be updated in Round if incorrectly input. The Jackpot will be won by the entrant who correctly answers seven out of seven questions in the Round. If more than one entrant correctly answers the seven questions, Jackpot will be split equally between all tied entrants.
- The Consolation Prize will be available for each Round and is won by getting the first six questions correct (all but the seventh question - the jackpot question). The Consolation Prize amount for each Round can be viewed when answering the seventh question. If more than one entrant correctly answers the first six questions (not including the jackpot question) they will become the “Consolation Prize Tied Entrants”, and the Tie Breaker question will come into effect. The Tie Breaker rules are explained in Paragraph 6.3 - 6.4 above.
- If no entrant answers the first six (6) presented questions correctly, no Consolation Prize will be awarded. If no entrant answers seven questions correctly, no Jackpot will be awarded.

3 - These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) will apply:
-
8. Game Questions
- Answers to questions will be settled based on the ninety (90) minutes plus stoppage time (“Full Time”) except for the question “What will the half-time score be?” which will be calculated at the end of the first-half (45 minutes plus stoppage time). Extra-time (two additional halves of 15 minutes) and penalty shoot-outs do not count towards the outcomes of the presented questions.
- The table below shows the range of questions that could be used by the Promoter.
Possible Question Additional Context What will the full-time score be? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. What will the half-time score be? The result for this question is the half time score, this is inclusive of any additional time and will be settled on the score when the players leave the pitch at the end of the first half following any first half stoppage time. Which player will score the first goal? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. An own goal can be selected as an option, this will be a correct answer if the first goal of the game is an own goal by any player. For the avoidance of doubt, where an own goal is scored by a specific player, it will not be attributed to that player for the purposes of this question and entrants who have selected that player will be deemed to have answered the question incorrectly. Which player will be shown the first card? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. Only cards shown to players currently on the pitch are valid. Cards shown to unused substitutes, players who have been substituted by the time they receive a card, coaching staff and managers are not valid. How many cards will be shown? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. Only cards shown to players currently on the pitch are valid. Cards shown to un-used substitutes, players who have been substituted by the time they receive a card, coaching staff and managers are not valid. The highest option for number of cards that will be shown will be inclusive of any number which exceeds the highest option e.g. if 30 is the highest option, you will receive a correct answer for 30, 31, 32 or any number above 30.
Card breakdown:
- Yellow card = 1 card
- Straight red: 1 card
- 2 yellows, resulting in a red = 2 cards
How many corners will be taken? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. You are predicting the total number of corners to be taken for both teams combined. The highest option for number of corners that will be taken will be inclusive of any number which exceeds the highest option e.g. if 30 is the highest option you will receive a correct answer for 30, 31, 32 or any number above 30. How many shots on target will there be? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. The highest option for number of shots on target will be inclusive of any number which exceeds the highest option e.g. if 30 is the highest option you will receive a correct answer for 30, 31, 32 or any number above 30. Will there be a penalty taken in the match? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. You are predicting if a penalty will be taken, any penalties awarded but overturned by VAR are not valid. Will there be a player sent off in the match? The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count. Only players on the field of play at the time of the red card will count. Red cards given to unused substitutes, players who have been substituted by the time they get sent off, coaching staff and managers do not count. (Jackpot Question)
Which minute will the first goal be scored in?
The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count.
To clarify, the timing of the first goal scored will be recorded as follows:
- 0 - 59 seconds = 1st minute
- 1:00 - 1:59 = 2nd minute
- 14:00 - 14:59 = 15th minute
- 44:00 - 45:00 and first half stoppage time = 45 minutes
- 89:00 - 90:00 and second half stoppage time = 90 minutes
If you select minute 6, to be correct, you will need the first goal to be scored between 5m00s - 5m59s.
(Jackpot Question)
Which minute will the first card be scored in?
The result for this question is calculated at Full Time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count.
To clarify, the timing of the first card will be recorded as follows:
Example:
- 0 - 59 seconds = 1st minute
- 1:00 - 1:59 = 2nd minute
- 14:00 - 14:59 = 15th minute
- 44:00 - 45:00 and first half stoppage time = 45 minutes
- 89:00 - 90:00 and second half stoppage time = 90 minutes
If you select minute 6, to be correct, you will need the first card to be shown between 5m00s - 5m59s.
- The Promoter will settle the outcomes for questions based on OPTA data which will be taken thirty (30) minutes after the match has concluded. Any changes to OPTA data following settlement will not be reflected in outcomes. All settlements are final.
- The Promoter retains the right to change questions match to match. Entrants can receive different questions depending on their answer for question one (What will the full-time score be?) due to applicability of the following questions. E.G. a “0-0” prediction would result in “Which player will score the first goal?” not being applicable.
- Questions in any given Round will not change whilst a Round is in-play.
- During the in-play state of a Round the stats visible within the app are provided by OPTA and final settlement of questions will also use OPTA to determine the outcomes of the questions.

9. Void Rounds:
- If a football match in any given Round is abandoned, postponed, or not completed for any reason, the Round will (at the Promoter's discretion) be considered void (“Void Round”). This will result in no winners within the Void Round, no prizes being awarded and no correct answers given to entrants.
10. Additional prizes
- Additional prizes may be introduced at the discretion of the Promoter. These will be in addition to the Jackpot Prize and Consolation Prize outlined above. In the event that additional prizes are introduced, the Promoter will publish any additional terms and conditions as they may be applicable.
11. Winners and Entrants Verification
- The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to ask for evidence to verify the age, identity and/or eligibility of an entrant at any time, and to use any channels and methods available to carry out checks of any details provided.
- The winner of the Round will usually be selected within one (1) week of the Round closing (“Winner Selection”).
- Winners (as determined in accordance with the terms set out in paragraph 7) will be notified by the email or telephone number registered on their Account within 28 days of the Winner Selection.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that you control access to any phone number that you use to enter the Competition. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any loss you suffer as a result of the Promoter dealing in good faith with anyone other than you who has access to any such number (or any device using any such number).
- It is each entrant's sole responsibility to ensure that their contact details are up to date.
- Winners will be required to verify (with evidence satisfactory to the Promoter) their:
- age;
- identity;
- residence; and
any other requested verification information,
in each case to the satisfaction of the Promoter before they are eligible to receive a prize.
- The Promoter may withhold delivery of a prize until it has received satisfactory verification from the winner. Failure to provide such satisfactory verification in a timely manner may result in a delay in the delivery of the prize. Failure to provide such satisfactory verification altogether may result in forfeiture of the prize.
- If selected as a winner, the winner must provide a UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands address for delivery of the prize.
- Any public announcement made regarding winners (including on ITV properties (TV, online etc.)) is pending verification unless otherwise stated and should not be considered final confirmation.
- If the winning entrant is, for whatever reason:
- not able to accept a prize;
- not able to verify their registration information to the satisfaction of the Promoter; or
found to have breached these Terms and Conditions by the Promoter;
then the entrant will be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited.
- If a winner of any prize (or any part of a Jackpot or Consolation Prize) cannot be contacted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions within five (5) business days, then the prize (or that part of the Jackpot or Consolation Prize) will be held by the Promoter for a further thirty (30) day period. If the winner has not responded to the attempts to contact them by the end of this thirty (30) day period, the prize (or that part of either Jackpot) will be forfeited.
- The winner is required to comply with all reasonable instructions and requirements as may be specified by the Promoter to receive and/or take up the prize. The Promoter will not be liable where the winner fails to comply with such instructions, and such failure may result in forfeiture of the prize.
- The winner may be required to provide their signature as proof of their agreement to relevant waivers, releases and/or consents when taking up the prize.
- The Promoter may refuse to provide a prize, or may seek recovery of any prize, in the event of non-entitlement under these Terms and Conditions or an entrant's fraud or dishonesty.
- The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
- The Promoter's decision is final and legally binding on all entrants in relation to all aspects of the Competition including (without limitation) allocation of the Prizes and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entries that do not comply in full with these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified and will not be eligible to receive any prizes.
12. Prize fulfilment
- Any cash prize will be paid via bank transfer to a bank account nominated by the winner. The bank account provided must be held in the name of the winner. If the winner cannot provide a bank account held directly in his or her own name within a timely manner of being contacted by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the winner, in which case any prize will be forfeited.

- The Promoter does not accept responsibility in the event that any entry is lost, delayed or not properly received, registered or recorded or for any disruption, delay or misdirection of any entry.
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend without prior notice any element of the Competition for reasons beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to the unavailability of the competition entry platform before the closing date, or for strike, lock-out, labour dispute, illness, act of God, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, war, riot, civil commotion, accident, epidemic, pandemic, malicious damage, fire, flood and/or storm, compliance with law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, breakdown of plant, machinery or transportation. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss or damage caused as a result of any of these occurrences.
- You agree to reimburse the Promoter in respect of any damages suffered by the Promoter or any losses by Promoter resulting from any claim made by a third party in each case in respect of any matter arising from your participation in the Competition in breach of these Terms and Conditions or from your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

Remember, the prime aim is to help provide info and resources. If you don’t like someone, their situation, their question or feel they’re intruding on ‘your board’ then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue. A Guardian article once "doffed its cap" to this forum as being the one place where consumers can collect together and fight back. Our job is to help keep it that way.
