Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope it's as sunny where you are as it is here.
The weather stayed fine yesterday with bursts of sunshine but there's still that cold wind to remind us it isn't flaming June yet! Washing dried, garden tidied, cucumber plants re-potted and the remaining window cleaned inside and out. I also had some relaxing time with a book so quite a good Sunday.
Hope everyone is well and Nanny's DDad is continuing to improve. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all. Dull and drizzly outside.
I've been MIA and think I've got a sinus infection. Have to try and tackle the GP surgery online today but, if no success, there's an Urgent Care Centre not too far away.
Sorry, but I haven't the energy for much else atm.12 -
Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's rained here, and going to do so again by the look of it.
It's the Book Club at the library this morning so I'll be going there and do a bit of shopping while I'm out.
Nothing else planned but I always find something to do.
Hope everyone has a good day, hope you can see someone about your sinus infection WL4. Thinking of the other poorlies as well.
Take care folks.10 -
@Camelot - it's very bright here but blooming cold, only 6° right now. 🥶 At least it's been mostly dry.@Wicked - a sinus infection is really horrible. Have you phoned the NHS on 111? You'll get some help there.Yesterday was another day I didn't go shopping, apart from online! I like a particular dark roast peanut butter which has proper chunks so I buy the big tub each time.Today I'm off to my exercise class despite still coughing, not as much as last week so I'm hoping to get through it. Then I've got liver and onions for lunch which I'm so looking forward to.Hugs to all.10

Morning allJust had a shower of rain battering the windows but it looks a bit brighter now. Was going for a walk round the park but don't fancy putting wellies on to do it so I'll be on my exercise bike later instead!Nothing planned for today so think I'll give the kitchen cupboards a sort out and maybe a change round instead of plonking myself in front of the TV which is so tempting.Hope everyone has a good day x10

Morning folks and thanks GERS. We currently have bright sunshine but they say it aint going to last. Inevitably rain is due later, with a bit of thunder thrown in. By the time I got home with the shopping yesterday and had put it away I felt so cold I was on the point of shivering. I put the heating on which is unheard of in June. I hope it's not a regular thing, I need to build my credit back up again. It took a battering over the winter months.
No plans for today but I could do with attacking the freezers again. They are back in turmoil and it's a constant rummage to find what I am looking for. The grocery cupboard is in a similar state so may do that as well. Such excitement!
Well my virtual tour of the UK is almost at an end, the travellers are now back in London. Staying near the Shard for another sightseeing couple of days, before moving on to Heathrow for one night in readiness for their early morning flight back to Oz. They stopped off in Hong Kong coming over but are flying back in one long slog. I will miss the constant supply of photos pinging into my phone.
I hope the poorlies (NAN's dad and WL) are soon on the mend and ((HUGS)) for all else who need them. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Morning all
Its been raining in the night but meant to brighten up later on today I hope so as I have Rob coming (the other lady is poorly again) and we are meeting some friends and having a walk round a park and a picnic followed by an ice cream on the sea front.
DD and friend arrived in Crete at one this morning after delays but they have a nice room with breakfast and a view of the mountains dd said it’s 28deg this morning but set to rise all day ! Better weather than we are having.
Dinner tonight will be something quick with chips maybe chicken Kiev I have to take mum to the Dr later for a follow up, and although she is feeling better she is still having dizzy spells so I am glad we are going.
Hugs to all the poorly ones hope you get better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

We will have the office phone near us today in case the hospital ring about Mr F's radiology appointment. Doctor daughter talked things through with me yesterday.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning! Been a busy weird few days. Lots of gardening done, obviously, and we went for a day trip to Burnham to visit OHs mother and stepdad, went metal detecting on the beach, Ohs dad found 'A NAIL!' [he was wearing headphones and didn't realise how loud he was shouting]. we've had continuous laughs about that all weekend. We went for fish and chips in a caff and blimey, it was absolutely enormous! There was a lot of groaning going on after that. Got back, OH had double booked so he went to a firends birthday drinks, I stayed home because I was pooped. Yesterday, met another lady from the gardening group and foisted stuff on her, so another six or seven pots have gone and are now someone else's 50% to look after. Today a fried is coming rouns so I'll make a base thai green soup thing ready for noodles, or we might go out. I have some lants to pick up from someone this afternoon and we don't have the soup, that's what we're having for dinner...WL, fingers crossed you get some relief..camelot, are you please about the job situation? have I already asked? Gers, Nels would be looking on approvingly at lunch/dinner
TA, we had our heating on last week in the night once too..it's just so blummin cold! I am stating here and now too that I am emptying my freezer [let's see how ong it lasts!] Izzy, enjoy the natter and the socialising
Ruby, fingers crossed for your mum, hope your DD has a fab time. dp1, isn't your daughter away too? Nanny, hope your dad is imporiving and you have some time to relax yourself, fingers crossed for today. Florence, that sounds ominous but my fingers are crossed for you all and Mr F. Take care today folks, it's a chageable one...
