Police Pension, final salary?

I'm due to retire in 5 days but my force has provided wrong information on the Leavers form to my pension provider.
2 errors have been identified so far, but I still don't know of its right, and I don't have a lot of time on my side. I was part of tapering, so I'm getting the 2 sets of figures for a period of my service in which for that period I remain on the 87 scheme or chose 2015.
However, they are basing figures on my 'final salary' and those figures do not reflect my gross current salary. In fact its just over £10k lower. Is that then the net final salary figure?? It kind of looks like my salary for the transitional section of my service, but who knows anything certain when it comes to police Pensions?!
Please advise

I don't know about this scheme specifically but if you think there is an error then speak to the provider and tell them - if there is an error they should make back payments to correct it when they have sorted it out.
Are you in a union? worth speaking to them re this as they often have much experience0 -
Your Fed Rep might be able to point you in the right direction, also most forces have a facebook group for past staff, they may be able to assist0

Have you had any increases in the last 365 days of employment. If so, your final salary will be based on a proportion at the old rate and a proportion at the new rate.

The 87 scheme was final salary, 2015 is career average. Could this explain the difference in the figure they are using?

"Pensionable pay" is not necessarily the same as "gross current salary" eg pensionable pay doesn't include overtime - would that explain the difference1

Double check with the pensions / hr team and get an official pensions statement from them. If incorrect you can sue. It doesn’t count the larger of the London weightings or overtime and uses your final salary from approximately one year ago.0
