Morning folks and thanks GERS. We haven't got your good start here sadly - the rain has finally caught up with us. Although as yet it's only light.
I have the hairdresser coming early doors. I shall have to keep a close watch on her scissors this time as she almost scalped me last time. Really I could have done without a trim this time but I didn't want to get out of sync with the rest of the little group she wends her way around. Yet if I left it until next time it would doubtless have gone haywire.
The young couple next door, who got married a month ago, are setting off on their honeymoon today - 4 weeks touring America! How times change, we could have only dreamed about a trip like that.
CAMELOT that's a relief for you. NAN I hope for better news on DDad today. And FLO I hope you get a diagnosis soon. Such a worry for you.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all who need one. Take care and be safe xx

Bright start, dull half hour and back to bright again but still very cold wind. I'm not sure which way it'll go.
Yesterdays atrocious morning got slightly better as the day went on. The drive down for the hair appointment wasn't brilliant but much better on the way back. As it was after 5p.m. I did a small detour past the Chinese takeaway- there was a parking spot right at the front door so it would have been rude to not stop. 😀 My lovely gardener had been to plant out the four blue Himalayan poppies which I got last weekend. I didn't investigate where they were as by the time I arrived home with my red hot takeaway the heavens had opened again. The aggressive chaffinch has stopped attacking the kitchen window, which has lots of dirty beak marks, and now sits on the feeder just staring at the window, maybe trying to face off his opponent.Happy haircut @TA.Hugs to our poorlies and sending healing thoughts to Nan's dear Dad.9 -
Morning All
Bright and sunny here but there's still a cool stiff breeze - if the rain stays off the washing will be dry in no time.
After my good news yesterday the day took a turn as I was stung by a bee. Goodness me it's painful. Glad I took my right off as soon as it happened because my finger swelled up for a while. All ok now and no bigger reaction thank goodness.
Hope your DDad is making progress Nanny.
Good luck with the haircut TA. Forgot to say congrats to your DS with the house, he must have worked like a trojan.
Hope you enjoyed your take away Gers. A few of us had a fish and chip delivery at lunchtime yesterday and it was amazing.
Shopping and allotment on the cards for today and I really must clean the windows outside. Have a good weekend. Take care. XX9 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers.
Weather here is dull.
Bee stings can be very painful Camelot - hope your finger is ok now.
I am off out for lunch today with friends.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. xx9 -

Morning all, thank you to everyone for their kind comments. The hospital were pleased that Dad's Bp has dropped but they need it stable so he's hooked up with all sorts of wires and paraphernalia and not allowed out of bed. They will have to send him to a different hospital for rehabilitation physio as he still can't use his arm and his speech is slurred. It's going to be a long road to recovery especially because of his age. I missed my meds delivery while we were at the hospital so I'll need to collect it next week, think Dad's was due too, I'll have to check.
Last night I did some washing which I had collected from Dad's and hung it out, then this morning I have stripped the bed and the bedding is in the wm. I'll hang that out before we go over the hospital. DD and DGS will visit him later today. The bed will then get remade later after we return.
Camelot well done on the job front.
Sorry that's the only news that has stuck in my head, must try harder.
Take care all, hugs to those in need.

Housework to do and a wash to hang on the line.

Morning everyone it’s a chilly wind today and dull so I don’t think we will be sitting out at any point Camelot good news about the job what a relief I think we all have enough to worry about without worrying about work but we all have to pay the bills I keep wishing I could win the lottery I’ve got no chance I don’t even play it but I can still dream . Not a lot happening here just housework and cooking there’s a craft fair on at the village hall I was going to have a look but I’m struggling with this tendinitis and still struggling to walk but it does feel a bit better today it would probably help if I could get rid of some of this weight nobody to blame but myself must try harder. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing7

It's deceptively chilly here - bright sun which is lovely & warm if you can get out of the biting wind!
I have taken the top 6" of No Mow May off my patches of grass front & back - there's too much clover / dandelion / plantain to call them lawns! The back looks lots tidier now. I will tackle my pots tomorrow, I have fuschias & lots of lobelia to go in them. I bought some dahlias & Cosmos earlier for the beds so will plant those out too.
Picky tea for me tonight, I've got odds & ends to use up so am having a Cheshire tapas - a few garlic prawns, the last bit of pate, some little bits of cheese, a slice of serrano ham, 2 rounds of salami, the end of a baguette and some salad 😁2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
