Hello.
I used to have a Debt diary a looong time ago. Then I didn’t.
Not much has changed. Except after years of repelling men I got an unexpected husband.
The numbers at 07/06/2024
9 months to end of DMP. about £17,000
Then £4,000 not on DMP
Mortgage £73,000 - 1 bedroom flat with plans to move once DMP is over.
Then £4,000 not on DMP
Mortgage £73,000 - 1 bedroom flat with plans to move once DMP is over.
Plus Very £500.
I liked having a debt diary before and hope it will help with paying down the debts and being more sensible and making better choices.
It helps have somewhere to note down ideas and progress. I also like popping into other peoples.
Please drop me a wave.
Thank you.

My mrs unexpected is completely unaware of our financial situation. She knows we have a loan and mortgage but ask her what the total debt was and she wouldnt have a clue. Ignorance is bloss in her case and tbh i prefer it like that. Means we get to stick to one plan rather than trying to compromise.
Good luck with the diary. And with the house moveDebt free 2024 (excluding mortgage)

The Mr likes drinking too much to be very much help. Probably like most of us he has bursts of “let’s be really sensible” and then bursts of “we only live once”.We have separate money but split the bills.Once the debts are not on credit file anymore the equity in flat should enable us to move and to pay down some of the debt. There seems to be a lot of places for spending at the moment. I try to go to the cinema whenever I can because I think that helps me feel like I am doing things whilst not spending too much. The thing is all of the films recently seem to be terrible. Hopefully they will get better. We are off to the good food show this weekend which will of course mean more spending. Then after pay day try and be sensible overall but going out a little bit. Got a bit in the Calender for July so will see how that goes.0

This week I have spent £100 on basically nothing. Top up show and meat from butchers, Rabbit Food, basic toiletries. How does that come to £100. Nothing fun from £100. At least we can all eat. it’s so boring being in debt. I used to have very expensive tastes but lately bringing that down to earth.I do have a season ticket to the football and I know a lot of people view that as a luxury but once you have it you can’t imagine cancelling it. Just feels extra dull until August.0
