Overpay secured loan or husband’s secret credit card debt first?

    The consolidation route is never advised and certainly not secured on a property and I would target any overpayments towards that and make sure you are both on board with not taking on further debt. If the unsecured debt is now defaulted and interest no longer being charged  I would pay a limited amount towards that and focus on the secured loan.

    to echo what everyone has said, pay as little as possible towards the unsecured debt and clear the dangerous secured loan. When does you mortgage fix end and will you be in difficulty at that point?
