Am I due a big win? What am I doing wrong?

I have been entering competitions for years, and once many years ago won a box of muesli  

about 2 years ago I starting comping almost daily (if I know I've got a busy week I'll enter all the competitions due to end that week in advance and then just drop in daily for any that have been added on the day).  I have entered thousands and thousands.  About 18 months ago I won a great glamping style break (it was lovely, if very cold as it had to be taken in winter).

I've had nothing since and I'm starting to get a bit disheartened.  I try to avoid FB/Instagram comps where you have to tag and share, as I don't want to spam my friends - but I do spam my husband if it's something I REALLY want to win (pizza oven or holiday).

I guess I just thought I'd have a few boxes of muesli to keep me going, even if I don't win a holiday.  Anyone else in the same boat?  I see people winning multiple comps each month and I just think 'HOW??'.

It can be quite demoralising to enter lots of comps and never win anything, but if you keep at it eventually something nice will come your way. It is a simple numbers game, the more you enter the more likely you are to win. Of course, if there is an element of skill or effort then entering those will give you a better chance, but most comps are simple random draws. I enter between 1000 and 2000 comps every month and count myself lucky to win anything in any given month. During the mid-2000's I won absolutely nothing for 3 years and was about to give it all up when I won a holiday and a cellar full of wine in 2 separate competitions. You just never know when that big win will drop into your email box. Good luck and keep going.
