Hi, I purchased extra annual leave at work, used half of this, I'm now leaving, and apparently the rest unused doesn't get refunded. So I pay for something I don't get, is this legal? It's a loan, paid over 12 months from salary? cheers

Always advisable to set a leaving date to allow for annual leave to be taken before departing. Being paid for untaken leave isn't standard practice. Departing employees often aren't the most productive.

When are you ending employment at the company?
Can you take the annual leave before you end employment?

Surely if you only used half of it and you’re paying for it over the year on a loan, we’re only half way through the year so you’ve only paid for half of it?

How many days do you get as standard, how many additional did you buy, when does your holiday year start, how much have you taken and when is your last day?

All basic information people would need to give you any view.

One of my employers offered a scheme where you could buy or sell a weeks holiday but it was in the terms and conditions once you had made the choice there was no way of reversing it.  What were the terms and conditions of yours?
