Locating old pensions

Goodness! I have 3 pensions that I am trying to trace, one of which I distinctly remember opting to pay another 5% on top. I have managed to trace 2 back to Standard life, I have emailed and been given a phone number ( due to security), and so rang the given number to be told that they need my policy numbers and retirement plan date!? One was 30yrs ago, I don’t have any of this. Has anyone else had any success finding old pensions, and how did they manage? Thankyou for any help.

Write to Standard Life with as much info as you have, making sure to include your NI number - that's a unique identifier and they will be able to trace you via that.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -

If you request the information to be posted, they may require proof of address but that is easy to supply and then they will change the address and send it to you.
