looking for cheap SLR cameras

does anyone know how i can get a SLR digital camera [typicaly a pro/semi pro type] cheaply, do jessops and the likes of, have these clearouts like the current Boots one.

    Refurbished but excellent value. I (or my family) have bought 3 camcorders and a couple of cameras here. Know what the going rate is and have fun.

    Generally the likes of boots wouldn't stock something like the Nikon D70 or thwe Canon 350D as its a little too specialised (you need extra lenses etc. etc.) So you'll not see a boots style clearout. Jessops has sales, but they're a bit rubish IMHO. Best place to get these things cheaply (and bare in mind we're still talking £500+) is though places like https://www.7dayshop.co.uk, ebay far east resellers and occasional bargains on here (do a search on some of the camera names to see some past bargains.).

    yeah....nikon or cannon £3 to 400 as it dfoent need to be 12 m/pixel, just haVE good optics

    You could be looking second hand then, as even with some of the rebates nikon and canon are offering I think you'll be pushed to get a true SLR for that price. Of you could go for one of the SLR-like ones? Similar design, normally with a good range of focal lengths, but you can't change the lens...

    i think slr bodies areavailable for aBOUT £350 but i'm really looking for a clearance opportunity like the one at Boots...does this site ever come up with them i wonder

    I've used the canon outlet on e-bay and had no problems with the 2 cameres bought.

    anyone know where the cannon outlet is on ebay...its not under "outlet" in a search. or more to the point what nikon and other makes call thier "outlets" on ebay...thanks
