Haven't switched my main current account in over a decade but have supplemented it with others over time and some of those have been switched whilst keeping the main account constant.
Have looked a few times at switching the main account, and even got as far as form filling twice, but no one really offers anything better than my current provider who have on the whole been reasonable to me. The experience of looking to move to First Direct was shockingly bad and I think I really dodged a bullet there.0 -
Over 30 years since I switched. I'm with Nationwide and the service has always been faultless so I'm reluctant to take a bribe to move and then potentially have buyer's remorse. And, of course, there is the £100 from Nationwide that I will get this year, as last. I suspect i might feel differently if I was with one of the big banks....

Switched a secondary account last year - was only there for paying by Standing Order an insurance policy. Since switching I've had problems with the payments being delayed.
Didn't get the advertised £200 switching Bonus as that only happens if you accept 'On-Line' banking - something I'm not happy to have.0 -
Have held our main Account for nearly 50 with the Co-op have considered switching to another ETHICAL bank but feel there is little to choose may feel different if the merger with the Coventry B.S. goes through but doubt it.0

I am going around in circles trying to find out how to take part in the poll, is it closed or am I following the wrong links?0

I haven't switched my main account (First Direct) for nearly 10 years as I think it fits my needs perfectly.
However, I have several other accounts, some of which I've switched in the last year for the switch bonuses. In fact I've received bonuses from Barclays, TSB, and Nationwide in the last year and recently switched to Lloyds to get access to their cheaper mortgage rates which they offer current account customers (which also comes with Disney+).
I have 3 current accounts which I would not consider switching: First Direct, Chase, and Starling. I think they all offer good value and would recommend to other people. I would only get rid of these if Chase scrapped the cashback, Starling got rid of the free overseas spending, and First Direct customer service went seriously downhill.0
