Primed MDF skirt boards

Hi everyone, I'm currently renovating my house and my painter told me to use pre-primed MDF skirting boards but I'm don't really know what he means. Want to buy this MDF skirt board but I don't know if it's pre-primed. Does the white mean it is primed or is it just the color of the MDF?
And after we need to paint it... Do you recommend using gloss or satin? (it's for the whole house)

When you buy the skirting boards it should say if they're primed/ready to paint. I think most MDF skirting board are like this.I think gloss paint works well for skirting boards. It's easier to keep clean.0
