Well I applied for my pension by sending my forms back on 27th July. I did this despite not hearing back about my Added Pension query (above) after waiting 10 days for a reply.

I have since heard nothing despite emailing MyCsp on 5th August (two weeks ago) to check on progress, so I don't know whether I'm getting my first pension payment at the end of this month or not!

Don't worry Rachel Thieves is on the case. You will hear on the 30th October  :)

I am also waiting for an updated deferred benefits statement. I was told that MyCSP are running up to 2 months behind depending on the query. It really is rubbish when you can login into the Civil Service pension portal but the data is too old or inaccurate so that you cannot make important decisions. I know for some individuals McCloud is complicated but it is really just a series of calculations based on personal data that they hold. For some reason they cannot make that data available to the portal for automatic computer processing or when it is available the portal produces results which are clearly wrong.
In contrast my wife has an LGPS deferred pension which has an excellent Local Council online portal that has updated her pension figures automatically every April without fail for the last 6 years with annual increases or other amendments. No need to ask anything and it is always accurate. The two systems are chalk and cheese.
