Last night of the proms tickets

Hi all,

Wanted to take my wife to the last night of the proms in London so was wondering if anyone could help with how I get tickets or any other tips on what to do and how to do it

Because of the number of people wanting them versus the number of tickets actually available, it’s done by ballot.

If you have never been to the proms before I would recommend getting tickets for one of the preceding concerts.

Several reasons the main one being that you are guaranteed to get tickets rather than having a very small chance of getting last night tickets. You also have a much wider choice of music. We usually go to 2 or 3 concerts a year but have never attempted getting LN tickets as it does not appeal but it is still a unique experience.

The only way to guarantee a LN ticket is buy a season pass, which if you live in or near London are fantastic value if you don’t mind standing.

We live in Coventry so having to travel down to London each time especially with my wifes health not being the best isnt ideal. Do you know how much a season pass is please and whether we would need to actually attend the events so the tickets are scanned as proof of attendance or whether we would just need to buy them?

They may well be sold out by now but they are £272 plus fees per person. Expensive way of going about it if you won't be using them.
If your wife has health issues would she be able to stand for that length of time?

I thought there were seats available too?
That does seem alot but as it's a special birthday it would be worth it. Can you tell me when the season passes are released please

I have entered the ballot for tickets and will take my chances at that for this year then. Next year try to buy a season ticket even if I only use it for LN

I’d always thought you needed to have attended other concerts during the Proms season before you could be considered for Last Night tickets?
