When I have finished using my laptop I shut the lid to 'hibernate'. If I don't return to the laptop for a few hours I can never get the internet to work even though the wireless internet connection says I am connected with excellent signal strength.
I am getting fed up of having to restart the computer every time in order to use the internet.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

it will probably have the same effect. When it happens, can you ping the routers ip address
start
run
cmd
ping 192.168.x.x (where x.x is 0.1 1.1 2.1 etc, depending on the model)Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

run
cmd
ipconfig /renew“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

Try turning off your firewall and then re-launching it after hibernation. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
