Where Do I Start?

Hi Guys
I've got a loan with Northern Rock, outstanding balance of around £6,000. Having money problems..........a lot of debt. Couldn't afford to repay full amount of £240 a month. Offered to pay £77 a month. The guy I spoke to accepted this, took a card payment over the phone and told me that the next payment would be by direct debit, the following month. So I just plodded along thinking this amount would be coming off my account, but it didn't, because I got a letter from Northern Rock saying it's now in the hands of a solicitor and court action was imminent. I phoned Northern Rock and offered to pay the back log, but they refused. I then got a letter from the court to say that I either had to settle in full or ask for a "time to pay" application. I applied for the time to pay option and offered to pay £100 a month, £28 more than I'd offered Northern Rock. The solicitor has refused this offer and I have to go to court, towards the end of January.
Bottom line is that I don't know if I'll lose my job over this.
Can anyone help ??

have you actually paid what you have offered. if not then at least send the £100 off as a cheque as a gesture of good will. will also look better with the court.
ref you job. depends on what your job is. If you are an accountant then I would guess a ccj against you is a no no, if you work in tesco how would they find out?
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

A lot of the time a 'time to pay' order is accepted by the court
